815 Escape

Game master was not very helpful with the hints, they were just confounding. We werent interested in any record time, we werent experienced game room experts, just looking for a fun time. Asked for hints and we got successive riddles, when all we wanted was the straight answer for the current puzzle so we could move on to the next. This is a problem when the puzzles are set up in a linear order (as others have noted here) , meaning there is no progression until the current one is solved. A good escape room should have multiple goals, and various paths towards them. Otherwise it gets crowded, everyone stumped on the same problem. We asked for clues many times and often it seemed there was a delay in getting new information/clues, like there was no response ... "figure it out". Game master should be clued in that beginners need a lot of help and are more interested in having fun, reading the stress/frustration level of the room. This was truly the Dark Souls of game rooms.

And a great time was had by all! This was my first time visiting an escape room, and I will definitely be back! The staff was great, the Sherlock Holmes room was challenging (thankful for my amazing team), and it is the most fun I've had for $35 ever! Only negative....I wish the entrance on State Street had better lighting. WE ESCAPED (barely)! Group of 5 was the perfect size for this particular challenge. Thank you!

One of the, if not the best escape room in the area! Staff was very helpful and gave us the clues immediately! They helped us so many times and at the end when we completed the room. The staff were so friendly and celebrated with us as if they were in the game themselves! They even took a picture with us at the end! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!!

Set up to do a birthday party online. The dude behind the counter was nice and helpful. There was a bit of a hiccup but the owners were able to help the worker and me to get things resolved. Bio-Genesis was a lot of fun. Kids couldn't solve it, but they said it was really good and want to go back. Hard to find the location (look directly to the parking lot across from Planet Fitness, entrance driveway is next to the used car lot) and parking is in the back. Not a lot of parking but I can't imagine it will ever be really busy. ((Photos/Video pending))

Allow me to express my utmost delight with the exceptional experience I had at this establishment. Undoubtedly, it ranks as the finest escape room I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The challenges presented were perfectly balanced, offering an engaging and immersive experience. I must commend the staff for their unparalleled warmth and hospitality. Callum and Ella, in particular, exemplified excellence in customer service. Their attentiveness to my needs made me feel truly valued and welcomed. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and their assistance in providing hints only enhanced my enjoyment of the experience. For those residing in Rockford or simply passing through, I wholeheartedly recommend adding 815 to your itinerary. It is an absolute must-visit destination. My only regret is not having discovered this gem sooner. Kudos to the entire team for creating such a memorable and enjoyable experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
