Hidden gem in Baxter! Not only is there a wonderful and clean playset, but there are several long trails to enjoy at this park.

The best thing about Allison Park is that it is in the woods and shaded by many trees. It makes it comfortable and cooler for summer visits than many local parks. There is some playground equipment including slides, swings, and climbing structures. There is adult exercise equipment. There are a couple of picnic tables and some benches. There are walking trails connected to this park. The downsides of this park: no bathrooms! Limited street parking - usually available but you may have to parallel park. Picnic tables and benches are old and sinking into the ground somewhat. Not wheelchair accessible. The park is a short but steep downhill walk from the street.

Small little park but with plenty of shade because it's down in the woods. A nice hiking trail with it as well.

This is a park tucked away in Baxter village. It feels kind of weird going there when you don't live there but it really wasn't that big of a deal. They have parking spots right along side the park which is within a grove of trees. Therefore, it is almost completely shaded! The actual playgrounds are very fun for kids. There are also multiple walking paths to explore nature safely. Loved it and my kids LOVED it. Here's a tip: pack lunch and a blanket and eat in the gazebo near the parking spots. My kids literally thought we were on a crazy adventure.馃槃

Tons of shade and lots to do for various kids ages. It is right against the woods and a walking trail which is nice but must be mindful of snakes.
