Ankeny Miracle Park

This park, specifically the playground, is fantastic! Even though it was crazy hot my kids had fun playing on the numerous slides and swings, clambering and climbing up the ropes and down the ladders, and just having a great time. It's very friendly to all ages and abilities, and it was great to be able to share the handicap swing with a wheelchair bound family member. Totally coming back. My only negative is that the grounds crew were actively spraying what smelled like concentrated Ortho weed killer alongside the fences and surfaces where the kids were actively playing, which is not cool

Needed a nice clean playground to stop while traveling with our toddler so they could run out some energy and this place was perfect. They had the solid rubber mats so we didn't have to worry about tracking things back into the car, there was a smaller playset perfect for little Littles but even the bigger set had slides and climbing appropriate for all ages and skill levels. I wish more towns had sets like this one!

Another COOL COOL COOL park with great playground in Ankeny. One of the best engineering work when it comes to playground that I have encountered so far. Whoever designed this playground deserves a pay raise. The platforms are well connected and integrated with all the climbs and slides. Bars are at the right heights and steps are challenging yet accommodate for kids. Well utilized with stuff to play above and below. So kids are engaged wherever they stumble upon. And shaded partially that you don’t feel much of the sun on you. Swings are nicely spread out. Sport courts are right next to the playground and look well kept. Saw lot of kids playing and practicing today. Restroom is clean and not smelly :-) Did not see many benches and tables for picnic though. Just a few only.

This is a great park to take my grandkids to. They have a section designed primarily for toddlers, as well as an enormous section that is even fun for teens. I like the fact that the ground is covered in rubber matting vs wood chips, as I don't have to clean that out of shoes later..

What a great place for kids. It has a couple separate play areas. One for the older kids and one for the little toddlers. For our experience he loves it here. Always kids around. Bathrooms are clean, soft rubber ground. All around nice place. I like all the seating and bench areas if you are going to have a party here. Looks like they have a couple of concession stands looks like if you contact the city you could use a building for a party. I
