avid hotel Fort Mill - Carowinds Blvd, an IHG Hotel

Checked in 1/6 to stay until 1/8. However they had a major power outages. Quick to get people on site to repair, but after a few hours unable to locate issue. Extra extra apologetic and kind even when I asked to checkout and move hotels. Not their fault, things happen and they did all they could! I will ABSOLUTELY stay here again in the future! Customer service A++. Room on night i did stay, cozy, clean. Highly recommend!

This is a pretty nice hotel! Stayed for work travel. Check in was smooth and the girl who checked me in was awesome and super friendly. Rooms are nice and clean, showers are hot, and beds are cozy. My only complaint is that when I went downstairs to get the grab and go breakfast (around 7:30- an hour after they start serving it, and it lasts until 9:30), there were no more breakfast sandwiches left so I ended up having to go somewhere else to get a filling meal. I have another reservation here later this year for personal travel, so hopefully the breakfast will be fully stocked so I can update my review accordingly

The rooms here are very nice. Also, the employees were also very nice and professional. The breakfast can definitely use some improvements but it is nice that they offer it.

Avid brand overall is good newer hotel, it’s got a fresh concept up with better standards as most Holiday Inns in the USA are outdated. It is in a great location across from Carowinds theme park. Breakfast is very basic but coffee is good with modern machines . Low point is the size of the rooms but with a large TV, they are practical tough

Hotel was ok. No furniture at all No microwave in room such an inconvenience having to walk down to lobby for it. No security officials , not enough towels in room only walked into 2 in restrooms, Front desk was unprofessional she was talking on the phone, didn’t acknowledged me until I spoke up, I just wanted more towels. She came across rude and confrontational, she was upset that she was doing her job by giving me more towels.Rolling her eyes … I hate to do this but this has happened many times when I stayed here rude , disrespectful front desk assistants the petite African American lady works morning , mid shifts.. where is the previous woman at? The Hispanic lady ??She was great !! She was the reason I stayed here…
