Breakout Games - St Louis

I had a fantastic time at Breakout Games - St. Louis! The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially our game master Abby. It was a great experience for our group, and I highly recommend it!

This was my absolute favorite escape room experience so far! I've done a few before, but the Mystery Mansion at Breakout Games was the best. We almost escaped, and our game master Lizzy was awesome and let us finish even though we were close. We loved it so much we tried to book another room that night! We'll definitely be back.

My experience at Breakout Games was disappointing. We did the Mystery Mansion, and our game master, Grace, wasn't very helpful. Her hints were monotone and felt rude, unlike our previous experience with Mitch, who was wonderful. We weren't able to escape, and the ending felt rushed. Also, the initial welcome was lacking.

Breakout Games is a fun, state-of-the-art facility. I went with a group of six. I recommend going with a group, as it adds to the fun, and they offer both co-op and competitive options. The rooms can hold up to ten people. Keep in mind that some of the activities, like laser guns, may be better suited for children over 48" tall. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the facility is clean and well-maintained with restrooms, a water fountain, and ample parking. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes!

The Island escape room was one of the worst I've ever done. The lighting was terrible, making it hard to read clues. The puzzles were counterintuitive and poorly designed. For example, we wasted time on a crossword puzzle with no clear clues and a code that was difficult to see. The final room was tiny, leaving some of our group with nothing to do. While the staff was friendly, the room itself was a major letdown. I wouldn't recommend this particular room.

We came in and did the Bomb Squad room and our host was Lizzy! We had a great time and were able to make it out in time which after almost an hour of work felt very rewarding! Definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for something fun to do!

We had Abby as our game master! She was amazing and you should give her a raise!!! We won Runaway train in 50 mins and it was our best escape room yet. The decorations were spot on and really fit the vibe.

I’m giving this place a 4.5. My group and I did the Island Escape room. There were very creative puzzles and a lot of them too! Jonathan gave us all the clues we could ask for. However, the room is dimly lit and the LED strip lights under the step made it difficult to see/walk around carefully. Jonathan was very nice and allowed us to use our phone flashlights to help, but that still wasn’t enough in my opinion. If you plan on doing this room, I would suggest bringing full flashlights that can illuminate the entire room more efficiently than our 3 phone lights could. Also, I would rate this room a 8/10 difficulty, with the lack of light contributing to 1-2 of those points. The puzzles are reasonable and not too difficult, but when you can’t see where the answers to puzzles go, then that takes significantly more time. Not a novice or beginner friendly room, but still very creative and fun!

Mitch was such an awesome helper, and was the most fun escape room ever!!! Would 100% recommend for anyone and will definitely be coming back!
