Challenge Escape Rooms
REVIEWS
Went for a team building event. My colleges enjoyed the back to the 80s room but the virus room sucked. We wasted so much time on two puzzles that were set up incorrectly. We had the correct lock code but it wasn’t working so the employee gave us the answer and then for another puzzle that needed a number of colored vials we were missing a tube so we couldn’t have solved it correctly if we wanted to. It really was a shame because if it wasn’t for that I think we could have made it.

Completed Virus and 80’s. Both were very basic, non innovative rooms with a theme slapped on them which really did nothing for the experience. Dingy lobby. No tech. Not worth it.

Nice concept - poorly executed. Did the Sweet Shoppe. The room was tiny and looked nothing like their photo image. The building was in sad shape. The clues were convoluted and we had no real enjoyment. After our time limit ended we were told we did good as we got about half way though the escape challengers. I would not go back.

I've done many escape rooms and, overall, this was a decent experience. I would probably have given them three and a half stars if it were possible. My friend and I did the room Virus. The puzzles are all linear, meaning each puzzle solved leads to the next puzzle. Personally, I am not a fan of these kinds of escape rooms. Especially when with a larger crowd because, with linear puzzles, since you can only work on one puzzle at a time, if two people are working on the primary puzzle what are the other people supposed to do? My friend and I were fortunate that it was just the two of us, so we didn't experience that issue. I was happy that they at least told us that it was linear so we didn't waste time looking for other clues. I like escape rooms with multiple puzzles to solve simultaneously so, if you get stuck on one puzzle, you can move on to another. However, with the current boom in popularity of Escape Rooms, you find linear puzzles more frequently because it makes the rooms far easier to build but it's not nearly as challenging. One thing that was frustrating was that, despite the presence of cameras in the room, the employees had no idea which part of the room we were on when we asked for a clue. Also, we could hear the employees talking and laughing just outside the door which kind of spoiled the "We're going to die of a horrible virus" atmosphere. But, as I said, overall it was a decent experience. I liked the atmosphere of the room and the puzzles were moderately challenging. I also liked that we were separated into two different rooms at the start of the challenge. I would try them again if they offer a coupon/Groupon.

This (christmas themed) was a fun escape room, and very spacious, however it was lacking in any exciting special effects, which I always look forward to in different locations. Be careful exiting the establishment, the small last step can be missed and unfortunately I had a trip to the ER and a severe sprained ankle from it! Staff upstairs did not really know there was commotion going on, unfortunately, and if they did, they did not check in with us.
