My county’s EPICENTER? Ok, so for the most part I like Riverside, however some of the older parts of town and the neighborhoods bordering Moreno Valley, I absolutely despise. I hate suburbia and frankly Riverside has quite a bit of it. It’s not as bad as Murrieta or Menifee where it’s houses as far as the eye can see, it’s better! I particularly love Downtown Riverside, it’s impressive how far it’s come. It’s actually feeling more like a metropolitan area now and I love that the community is out and about. Riverside has some good food! I like the Food Lab when it’s not busy and scorching hot in there. They have cool gamer nights and plenty of activities going on. Aside from the lab, my Mom just introduced me to Tio’s Tacos and I quite enjoyed the artsy garden and tasty tacos there! Central Plaza is also a fun spot with plenty of eateries and a movie theater. I’m not a fan of UCR, not only is the UC system a greedy organization but some of the college people can be annoying. UCR is one of the better UC schools, so it’s not a major issue and people are pretty harmless, just be aware. Would I live here?: Sometimes I tell myself I can but other times I remind myself of the few parts of town I only gravitate to. It’s a clean city, but it still doesn’t completely match my vibe. Note: It’s got plenty of county jobs at least! Riverside is the heart of Riverside county after all.
