Awesome experience! Did the “Dark Room” and almost escaped. Our host was amazing and super helpful. I’ll give you a hint…the room is dark. It was my friend’s first escape room and this got them pumped to do more. There is a locker to store your thing. We parked across the street in a paid lot.

After missing our Argosy Cruise, we were in a scramble to find another equally exciting and memorable adventure for my MIL’s 70th birthday celebration. In a fit of desperation, as the cruise ship pulled away from the docks leaving us in the dust, my husband called Cognition Escapes in order to see if there was any possible way to be fit into the schedule for the day. In a turn of luck, Cognition Escapes fit us into, “The Fourth Door,” escape room within 15 minutes of our call, and boy were we grateful! This allowed us to treat my MIL and FIL to their very first escape rooms, as well as introduce us to another escape room to frequent upon visiting Seattle! The escape room was impressive to say the least! The game master stayed in character, and explained the experience well. The room was also challenging, but not “too” challenging where we didn’t enjoy ourselves. We appreciated the cleanliness, creativity, and thought that went into each of the four rooms we went through in the game! I loved the pacing of the experience as well, with giving us 20 minutes per room so we didn’t miss anything along the way. We ended up escaping with 1:03 to spare! A wonderful ending to a difficult start to the day. Our new motto as a result, “when life gives you lemons, go to an escape room!”

I’ve been to quite a few escape rooms and this is probably my favorite one in the Seattle area. This place was easy to find with a decent amount of available parking nearby. Me and my partner decided to take a crack at the Dark Room mostly because it allowed two players but also it was the easiest room. Needless to say we found it challenging but Simon was so chill and laid back he gave us a few extra minutes to figure out the final clue that was staring us right in the face 😅 I highly recommend this place, perfect date night! the

The experiment was a very well put together room. Great puzzles, and a surprisingly fun theme for one so well trodden. Would loved to have tried more of the rooms but were limited by our small group size.

The puzzles were bland and consisted of obvious tasks, memory or match games and a couple timing exercises. Almost all one or two level unconnected puzzles. The electronic puzzles were inconsistent and seemed to have slow or lagging sensors. The correct input would work 3 out of 5 times and lighted indicators sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. The electronic puzzles seemed to be the main focus overall and were just not fun. I get that the rooms are much easier and faster to reset with electronic puzzles and little to no tools or clues, but it really take a lot of the fun out of it. The whole thing felt low effort to me, but the rest of the group, who hadn't done escape rooms, enjoyed it. Our host was nice enough. Maybe bring your friends that are new to escape rooms.
