Coney Island

Coney Island, people-wise, has not changed one bit. People who don’t have money to burn. People looking to enjoy the weather. MY kind of people. The Brooklyn Half Marathon finished on the boardwalk this morning. Very busy. Lots of tired, happy people. What’s not to like?

You just have to love this place, full of life with an explosion of color, a fun atmosphere from the shops to the games, rides to the cyclone, stadium to the boardwalk, along with all events, fireworks, parades, and much more going on there, especially in the summer the the heat just turns on!!

Beautiful during a weeknight sunset in early August. Quite noisy however. But the view made up for the noise.

Coney Island is the place to go when your adrenaline is running high-(Steeple Chase ride). The place to go if you want to experience vertigo-(The Tickler ride). The place to go when you want your emotions to be toyed with (The Free Fall ride). And if you want to check if your lungs are as high as Mariah Carey voice...then that ride would be the Sling Shot and/or Thunderbolt. Loved the boardwalk and the beach. It felt so good to be back at this park even though my favorite ride, The Polar Express, was gone. There were a lot of other great attractions there. There are no pictures this time..sorry bout that.

Boardwalk is nice & clean! Amusement park is open! Fun carnival games! Great place to spend time with kids! There’s also a ferry for whale watching & great restaurants
