Little pricey, but my nephews loved it! They’re 2 and 4, both were incredibly entertained! They get a bag to take home their keepsakes and they had so much fun making their own art! From molding their own race car crayon to playing tag with other kids in the jungle gym, these kiddos spent all their energy and left with huge smiles! The women at the counter were so kind and interacted so sweetly with the kids. Some of the teens on the highest floor were a bit off and my nephew asked why they were mad, but teens are teens.

3 stars because although this place was a lot of fun.. from the jungle gym and all the arts and crafts to do... I just wish the staff were more welcoming. It seemed like anytime I asked a question, it was as if I was bothering them. Still, lots of fun for my kiddo and the adults too.

This was a massive waste of time and money. It was $150ish to get in for my family with only two kids which was a lot to begin with but almost everything inside was either extra, subject to tokens, or insanely overpriced. Within 15 minutes of arrival there were so many people that the kids could not enjoy most of the exhibits. We got to briefly look at a little less than half of them. The staff were overwhelmed. For some reason there was a popcorn kiosk on every floor and when I went to get a drink from the case I was met with a massive line of 2 people. This of course took 15 to 20 minutes and no I am not kidding. I wanted to complain but I realized that the lady behind the counter was no more than 15 and clearly overwhelmed; this isn’t her fault. Apparently the ticket counting machine was giving her grief and…. Why the eff do they have a random Chuck-e-Cheese ticket program at the Crayola factory anyway? The prizes were limited and sad and well if it's going to take that long to use it, not worth it. Yes, the ski ball machines in the “Crayola” experience took quarters from a change machine. They need EVERY DAMN PENNY out of you. Education value was nil. The canal museum that I remember was reduced to one water-table exhibit which would be fun but you and your children will need to wait in line for twenty minutes only to be rushed through because there are entire birthday parties waiting behind you with anxious kids and pissed off parents. Are kids antsy in a long line surrounded by potentially fun stuff? YES! The playground areas are a lawsuit waiting to happen. I can guarantee that a lawsuit will fly for the first kid that gets injured because of your poor planning and design. Here’s the golden question: Can you supervise your kids such as a 3 and 5 year old? The answer is NO! It’s not merely that there are hundreds of kids running every which way up all of the jungle gym in which the higher portions are blocked from view by a mesh with Crayola stuff painted on it. Is my kid up there? No idea. Is he hurt, injured, or dead? No idea. No way to know without climbing up myself. My 5 year old came down in tears and we still aren’t sure why! There were dozens of way older kids that were far too rough and quite frankly it ruined anyone’s ability to enjoy it. Here’s another question: Can my 3 year old enjoy it? Sure but on another floor. This means the family needs to split up to play. The lunch room was the end for us. A hot dog was $13. That Coke Zero I got on the other floor? $5. Lunch for my kids came to $44 and it didn’t buy much. The 4th floor? Never made it. We gave up It was too damn crowded to continue. We even have some tokens left but I don’t care; we will never return. In the gift shop everything was priced as you’d expect which wasn’t a huge issue since the kids found some relatively inexpensive souvenirs. The real problem began with the line that wrapped around the gift shop. With 4 cashiers it took ~30 minutes to make through the line for $15 worth of merch. The personnel behind the counter? About 15 years old and clearly overwhelmed. What’s sad is that, my class at Sheckler Elementary was the last ever to tour the actual Crayola factory in the 90s. It was a cool experience from what I remember. Now this Crayola “Experience” was just a major cash grab and advertisement for Crayola products that left everyone disappointed and miserable. What’s most damning to me is that management is aware and chooses to do nothing for the better. I scroll through these reviews and I am not the only one pointing out these issues for months or years but management clearly doesn’t care. I know it’s not going to happen but you should be refunding all of our money and apologizing profusely.
