David F. Schulz Aquatic Center Introduce

Welcome to the David F. Schulz Aquatic Center, located at 1301 W Hampton Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53209, USA. As a public water park listed in the Theme Park Directory, the Aquatic Center offers a place to cool off during warmer weather.

Based on customer reviews, the David F. Schulz Aquatic Center is described as "nice and cool," providing a refreshing environment. However, it is also noted to get very busy. One helpful tip for frequent visitors is to consider purchasing a family pass if planning to go more than twice in a season, as this allows for skipping lines and saving money.

On the other hand, some recent experiences highlight potential drawbacks. Multiple visits timed for the scheduled opening at 10 am with a toddler on hot days resulted in significant delays of 30-60 minutes due to the pool chemicals not being ready. This caused disappointment for many parents and toddlers who were left waiting in the heat, potentially leading to less playtime or missed nap times. Additionally, it's important to note that there are no concessions available at the Aquatic Center, so visitors should plan to bring their own food and drinks, potentially impacting lunchtime plans. One reviewer also mentioned an unhappy demeanor at the front desk and a refusal to honor toddler time pricing.

The environment of the David F. Schulz Aquatic Center is that of a public aquatic facility with pools for swimming and recreation. Services include providing access to the pool areas. Features include being a place to cool off and potentially offering family passes for frequent visitors. However, based on recent feedback, potential visitors should be aware of the possibility of delayed openings due to chemical imbalances, the absence of food and drink concessions, and potential issues with advertised pricing. No specific promotional information beyond the recommendation of a family pass for frequent visitors was available in the provided reviews. Local users in Milwaukee considering a visit should weigh the benefit of a "nice and cool" environment against the potential for delays, lack of concessions, and possible pricing discrepancies.

Very busy and no concessions but nice and cool! If you plan on going more than twice in a season get a family pass, skip the lines and save yourself some money!

We’ve come here twice. Each time we arrived strategically right when they’re supposed to open (10 am) to beat the crowd with our toddler on an 85 degrees day. Each time they told us & a crowd of other parents with toddlers that they were going to open 30-60 minutes late because the chemicals in the pool weren’t ready. Here’s the domino effect: 1) A bunch of disappointed toddlers can either go home or wait in the blazing heat. 2) If they do wait they can either spend a lot less time at the pool, or risk missing their nap times. If you’re a parent, you know what happens when they miss their nap. Hope you planned to miss lunchtime too because there are no concessions sold. Cherry on top is the unhappy face at the front desk being sure to let all the moms know they will not be honoring the toddler time pricing. 🍒

Great pool. Love the lazy river and slides. Not too busy today so it was a lot of fun!

The facility is good, but some of the clientele are obnoxious. They run into me or my kids and curse up a storm even when kids are around. I recommend going earlier in the day, like before 1:00 p.m. on a weekday, when it's much less busy and the clientele are not as obnoxious.

This place is terrible. We were visiting and my little brother had taken the swim test: the lifeguard said he had to front crawl half of a swim lane. He did it, and the life guard said he passed. He was later swimming in 3.5 feet of water, and my grandma was 3 feet away from him on the side of the pool. A lifeguard then proceed to yell at him that he had to stay within an arms length of an adult, and he had passed the swim test. Apparently he was supposed to be given a password to be able to swim by himself in three feet of water. The lifeguard who told him to take the swim test did not give him a password and he was also supposed to tread for 30 seconds halfway before swimming back to the wall. My grandma just asked for the lifeguard to give my brother a password but she said that my brother had to retake the swim test to be able to go off the diving boards and swim in the deep pool. It was ridiculous, especially since my brother has passed the swim test at our hometown waterpark. My brother didn't want to have to retake the swim test. We will never be coming back here again. This waterpark is horrible.
