EscapeX Rooms - Irvine Escape Room

A friend and I came here to play the Curse of the Black Knight and we had a blast! This is one of the coolest rooms I’ve played. It was very immersive and the puzzles were unique. When we would get stuck on something for a bit, the game master would give us a small hint to help us which was much appreciated. The room was pretty dark so it can be a little hard to see things, but it adds to the experience!

I would give 0 star about the escape room. First of all, the master spoke extremely fast and was rushing us the entire time. However, there was no visible timer inside the room; we could only check the remaining time through a phone call, but the sound quality was very poor. Secondly, the room was extremely dark. Even after unlocking mechanisms that were supposed to turn on lights, it was still too dim. Yet, we were strictly prohibited from using our phones, including the flashlight. Though we arrived five minutes late, there were no other players after us, but our game time was still reduced just because the staff wanted to leave on time. Overall, I do not recommend this escape room at all.

We came here to do The Attic and had a lot of fun. Our group is familiar with escape rooms and has done many horror themed ones. This room has interesting and challenging puzzles and the environment was well designed. Kyle was our host and got us up and running quickly and gave quick hints when we needed it. Would recommend The Attic if you like horror themed escape rooms!

Recently went for a birthday celebration and it was a really great time. We did the mafia heist themed room and the puzzles were challenging but still solvable and rewarding. The people working there were very nice and throughly explained every step of the process :) I would reccomend coming here
