Everglades Outpost
REVIEWS
To be honest is not the best place to visit. I had a completely different idea of what it was. Animals live in awful conditions. You guys better do something else good with those animals.

Recently visited the everglades area on our honeymoon, and since we're animal lovers we stopped in to Everglades Outpost to see some adorable animals in the sanctuary. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, and we enjoyed meeting all the animals, hearing their stories, petting, and feeding them. We were surprised to be able to pet/feed so many! It was a memorable experience for sure and we highly recommend the tour to everyone visiting the area. In my opinion, it's a great way to support the rescued animals and the caretakers of the sanctuary. Thank you for the good work you're doing, Everglades Outpost!

this place is a special, little gem. it’s beautiful if you like the overgrown/jumanji sort of look. the owners are incredibly nice/sweet/welcoming, as are basically all of the workers/volunteers. i can’t say enough about this place. the park journey is short but sweet (you can, of course, make it as long as you want by sauntering down the path slowly and pausing for long whiles to watch the animals do their thing). there are almost always food trucks parked outside the park and there’s a wooden picnic bench outside there in the shade where you can eat. it gets hot, so bring water or plan to get some from the food truck. definitely an awesome thing to do on the weekend. it’s charming af.

I went to the Everglades Outpost in Jul'23 for the Underwater Gator Tour with Chris Gillette and boy this was one of the best experiences in my life! Chris is a very nice guy and besides swimming with Casper you will learn a lot of interesting facts about alligators from him. It's like hitting two birds with one stone - you get the experience and learn something new. In addition to that, the Everglades outpost has some rare animals on display, which you can see after the gator tour. One final note. The water may be a bit cold, so bear this in mind. And most importantly, PLEASE FOLLOW ALL CHRIS's INSTRUCTIONS. The tour is absolutely safe as long as you're not being an idiot and treating a wild animal like a hamster.

We had a blast here !! It is a self guided visit but a lot of info and history !! You can pay and get a actual tour ! It is a non profit and they just do it out of love for the animals !! They do try and rehabilitate and release the animals back to the wild but some they can’t they take on and keep caring for them by donations. You should check this out if you are in the area !! My kids had a blast and my husband thought it was so cool to see the tiger that close up !!!
