I was super disappointed we couldn't have a staff member take a photo on my own device and the only way to get a photo is for them to take one and wait for the marketing team to upload it. The reasoning is they don't want to give away anything regarding "The Beast" but the area we were in was quite literally just escape room entrances. The room we did, Merlin, was run down. We couldn't see one of the locks due to the lighting and florescents being rubbed off. It's was quite easy to see the path for one of the first puzzles, we also had to push and pull items to get it to trigger the lock when it appears it should have been just a pressure sensor. But overall it was fun and we had a blast. We will be back but would appreciate a little love and care be put into the rooms

I typically don't leave negative reviews for businesses, because I genuinely believe all businesses have a bad day. However, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. We showed up about 15 minutes early, as requested in the confirmation email. We were led up to the room by the manager. Within the first two minutes of being in the room, he came in and said something hadn't worked properly- no big deal. He fixed it and left. He then returned roughly two minutes later and said he had to pull us from the room to reset it. Again, no big deal.. things happen. We waited outside of the room for about 15 minutes while he tried resetting it. He then told us it wasn't working and we could either come back later, or reschedule for a different day. He also gave us the option to do a different room. Unfortunately, we live an hour away and don't have availability for several weeks. We have also been here prior and done the other rooms available. We asked for a refund instead. We paid $104 for this room, after taxes. We were told "we don't do refunds, it states that on our website." I said,."I understand you don't do refunds for cancelations or late guests, but your room doesn't work. We just want our money back". This "manager" became extremely rude. He raised his voice several times and said "you want your money back, I'll go across the street and take my own money out". We asked him several times if there was someone he could call, above him, to which he told us no. After we said we weren't leaving without a refund, he had us sit in the lobby. He then went in their office and proceeded to make several phone calls, talking loudly about us. After about 20 minutes he came out and said their "engineer was able to refund us". While I completely understand, and agree with, not refunding cancelations or late parties- this was 100% on the company. We weren't upset we couldn't do the room, but being told we couldn't have a refund was so out of line. I'd recommend going to one of the other escape room options in KC.

Wow! We did Bank Heist, and of the over 90 rooms I've done around the world, it's a too 5 room! Location a little sketchy, but totally worth it! Immersive, variety, dun, intricate, new... It had everything!
