Great Wolf Lodge Resort Hotel | Illinois

We’ve brought our kids here three years running. The first year they were ages 3, 5, and 6, and now they are 5, 7, and 8. Every year has been enjoyable. The rooms accommodate our family of five with not much space overall, but we are hardly in the room. The water park has enough variety while also being small enough that it’s easy to keep track of everyone.

My family always comes here for my children’s birthdays but this time around was upsetting. We were not being accommodated with a closer wolf den room for my daughter and given the room all the way down the hall. We bought both the girls pup passes and they only used the candy one since the employee forgot to give it back to us and when I found out we never got it back from her (we were in build a bear), there was a new employee working and he said there were no pup passes near the register. I asked to speak to the manager or supervisor and he said unfortunately there was nothing they can do. My husband ended up getting two more pup passes since we were there for my daughter birthday and he was unsatisfied about the way they handled it. The waterpark itself was a great experience. The kids had a blast and there was a section for my baby to play too. People are saying it’s pricey, but I honestly think the prices are reasonable. The kids absolutely love having their birthdays here but for some reason, this time around was a terrible experience for my husband and I. Please accommodate your guests in regards to placing the rooms closer to waterpark to help the kids that need it. Also, the workers should check the pup passes and remember to give it back to guest especially if the guests are picking out the candy. I gave the employee the pup passes, she gave me the cups and couldn’t find the marker so she said she will ring up the people behind me first and once she marks it, she will give it back since we will be in store picking out the candy. I was too busy helping out the kids that I myself forgot, until it was time they wanted to do the build a bear. Please have a better process for the kids and employees.

Brought our 4 kids here (10yrs - 4yrs old) and everyone had a great time! There are many things to do from mini golf, ropes course, water slides, and more. If you’re looking for a fun getaway for the family I highly recommend! Extras can get pricey, so make sure you assess the cost first to determine if it’s right for your family. Look on Groupon first for any deals as well.

Amazing Family Getaway! Great Wolf Lodge was perfect for our family! The water park had something for everyone, from thrilling slides to kid-friendly play areas. The arcade and activities kept us entertained, and the themed rooms were cozy and clean. Staff were friendly, and the whole experience was seamless. Highly recommend for a fun and memorable family trip!

Every request was accommodated with a smile and a “Of course, no problem!” I felt very cared for and I felt like your staff wanted me to be there. It was a wonderful experience for all of us and I’m very grateful for every single staff member I interacted with being professional, kind, and helpful. I saw no one that didn’t want to be there. I did not sense annoyance with my little questions and requests one time. Resorts like this are in the hospitality industry, and your staff couldn’t have been more hospitable. Keep doing what you’re doing, every one of you, I couldn’t be happier with my experience!!
