Great Wolf Lodge Water Park | Minnesota
REVIEWS
It was overpriced, and even with our preparation email and calculations we still had a surprise $200 deposit that we weren't prepared for! It was lucky we were able to make split payments. The resort is advertised to be a great family get away for kids and yet the claw machines are still rigged to make it harder for the kids to win prizes even after all the money that was spent to be there, the room seems much larger on the website photos, the bunk bed steps are covered with way too much abrasive tape so my daughter continued to get hurt and scratched up getting down. We asked that the batteries get shaped out in the remote for our room early morning and was told we would have someone up with a new remote but we checked out before that ever happened. The water park area again, looks to be larger on the website but that didn't bother me as much, it was nice to have a smaller area to watch the kids in. We're also vegan and after paying so much to be there, it would've been nice to be better accommodated there. It's an overpriced hotel in a bigger city, there really should've been more options.

There's no words to explain how appreciated and thankful we are for this crew. We had a massive scare of our 3 year old daughter going missing. This team was on it and knew every precaution to take. She was found (hiding in a clothing rack) but the effort and strategy this hotel staff put together was amazing. I couldn't be more thankful with how serious they took this matter. I forevermore will feel so trusted staying with this organization than ever. I can't thank them enough. We are forever grateful. We want to give every staff member a hug. They are seriously on their A game at every given second.

My main complaint is that it is way over-priced for what you get. Check-in when smoothly, however they do not do a daily towel service. You have to go to the front desk to get extra towels. There were no extra pillows in the room and only 1 extra blanket. The room was a decent size and had the amenities advertised. However, the blankets and sheets were poor. Very thin, one single blanket on each bed, and the sheets were not long enough to cover the length of the bunk bed mattresses. The blankets also did not cover the bunk beds- essentially a thin lap blanket was on each bunk bed. The restaurant had very good food at the buffet, however it was still over-priced as they also charge for each beverage, so it quickly adds up. They have sparce staffing in the restaurant, so we were not able to get any beverage refills because they were too busy to assist and had to stand and wait every time we were ready to go because they didn't have our check ready to sign. While the lodge offers additional entertainment- rope course, arcades, bowling, etc- they are all additional charges and all over-priced for the service or quality you get. Check out was automatic and we received an invoice after leaving that also charged us $15/day for self-parking in the lot that we were not told we would be charged. Ultimately we stayed for the water park, which was a great experience, but next time I would stay at a different hotel and do the day pass for the water park to avoid excessive price gouging.

I had a great time. The room was nice. The Waterpark was also nice. The on-site food offerings were premium priced. I spent 70 dollars to feed my family of 3. I understand the price of convenience, but the food is mid at best. If you have kids, I highly recommend getting the passes aimed toward them. We got the pup pass, which included some ice cream, candy, a build-a-bear and other things that 3 year olds like. There's also daily activities scheduled that my child just adored. Overall a good experience, a good expensive experience.

I went on a Wednesday so it wasn’t crowded; checked in right away, no lines! Room clean staff very professional and on top of things esp the lifeguards. I had to wait in line for a ride only once, it took about 5-10 min. on the extra large slide. I can see how a crowded waterpark would create long lines and that would not be fun! However I did not run into this problem, probably because it was a weekday. My only complaint is a couple of the personal slides you could feel the grime starting to build up. Get some magic erasers in there haha! My boys LOVED it especially the lazy river and the wave pool. I like how there’s only one break from 1-1:45. Thanks for the memories!
