Like an old school blast from the past! Nothing feel quite like summer loving then this beach with it’s fresh water with a few fun slides and play area right on the beach. There’s some shade spots, so you can totally pack a picnic but come early, a great way to spend the day. Very reasonably priced but grab a Groupon when you can. A favorite of ours they have a discount night price one day a week or two. It’s very chill here which we love. Great family “Day-cation” for Chicagoland area folks. A picture perfect picnic in the nw burbs. 2024 Updated pics In review.

We really enjoyed this place. My 26 year old son, 10 year old daughter and 3 year old son all had a blast. There are plenty of shaded areas to sit lots of space. They allow you to bring in coolers too! They do have a concession stand as well! Very reasonably priced. The cossesions only accept cash. The admission was $10 and they accept cards.

We live an hour away but this is a place we visited often as children and I love taking my kids. We planned to go this week so I checked the hours. It says open daily with the various times listed. Double checked the website so not waste 2hrs driving, and they’re closed for the season. They need to figure out how to update their google hours. I normally wouldn’t have double checked but this location has actually done this before.

Love that this is a fresh water spring fed pool. The setting is beautiful and water is clear and cold. You are welcome to bring in your own food and there is plenty of space on the lawn for picnicking. Space is more limited on the beach.

I come every year on the 4th of July. We always come super early and are first in line but on that specific day if u come at open the line is to the parking lot. If u come after noon-1pm then by that time the second lot is full and ppl start parking on the street/grass. You are allowed to bring in food and drinks but no alcohol. We also bring our own grill. If ur by the bushes bring mosquito spray 🦟 we also bring our own cooler. 🧊 the hard part is also rushing in to get a table and to get it under shade lol
