Hurricane Harbor Introduce

Hurricane Harbor, part of the Six Flags family, is a popular water park nestled in Austell, Georgia. This exciting destination offers a variety of attractions for families seeking fun in the sun, including thrilling slides, a wave pool, and a splash zone. Located at 6 Flags Wy SW, Hurricane Harbor provides a unique blend of water-based entertainment and relaxation opportunities.

  • Attractions: Enjoy rides on slides, the powerful wave pool, and the engaging splash zone, making it an ideal spot for kids and adults alike.
  • Seating & Shade: While there are shaded seating areas available, some require a paid upgrade. Free chairs can be limited during peak times, so consider bringing extra seating options or planning accordingly for comfort.
  • Dining: Food services may experience delays, especially on busy days, so it's advisable to allocate extra time for meals.

Customer feedback highlights the park's appeal to children, with many enjoying the interactive slides and wave pool. However, parents have noted the limited availability of free seating and shade, which can make spending time at the park challenging during peak hours. Additionally, the long wait times for food services have been a point of concern for some visitors.

Despite these areas for improvement, Hurricane Harbor remains a favorite among families looking for fun in the water. We recommend including the cost of chaise lounges in your budget if you plan to visit this section of Six Flags to ensure maximum comfort during your stay.

It’s ok, but not great. The waves in the wave pool are REALLY strong! My oldest daughter had to rescue my 8 year old several times. They are both tall and good swimmers, but if your child isn’t on swim team this will likely be too much for them. There’s also not nearly as enough shade or seating. There are large areas reserved for folks who want to pay for seating, but there was not a single free chair available on the first Saturday in September, hardly a peak busy time. Also hardly any shade. I found myself standing in with occupied chairs just to get under a sliver of shade.

Hurricane Harbor is at the end of the park and changing stalls are in the restrooms there. I was really disappointed to find out that almost all of the chaise lounges were roped off and you had to pay for them. We literally ended up sitting on the concrete even though we had purchased season passes. They really should provide more seating/lounging options and more shaded areas. It gets way too hot in GA! Food order took forever. The kids had a great time though - they enjoyed the slides, the wave pool and the splash zone. However, I recommend including the chaise lounge rental in your budget if you're planning on going to the Hurricane Harbor part of Six Flags if you don't feel like sitting on the ground...

Perfect place for having water activities. My 3 daughters had blast. Super cheap for season pass and it includes parking as well. Plenty of outlets to buy food and beverages. Multiple sanitizer stations. This is our new hang out spot for summer time.

We got the season pass. So yesterday was just the theme park. Today was Cabana day. With our large family we had to get a cabana. We had five kids with us and age from 17 to 4. We arrived at me. When the water parks open. I do have to tell you in advance that the water park is located way in the back of the park it takes us about 15 to 20 minutes to get to there. So if you're planning keep that in mind. We are allowed to bring our own coolers and food in. For our platinum cabana two large pizzas were included and drinks. There was some sodas included. So here are the frowns, there is no towel service, there is no adult beverage service, and the chairs to sleep on are basic plastic chairs that lay back To their credit the attendee does come to check on you periodically to bring, plates, water, paper towels The bathrooms at hurricane harbor are horrible, wet and full of clogged toilet and paper towels We did enjoy our stay. This allowed the oldest boys and family to wander the park whilst I stayed behind while the baby napped. I was also able to get some sun Just wished for a little detail for the price paid Oh yes and there is a 'private area' for you to. Lounge on. The concrete is too painful for that and their are no barriers for other people to cross over and join you

I did really utilize this area, but my kid give it 3 Stars. He tells me that the chlorine is too strong and it burns his eyes. In addition to having a rough and prickly pool floor which was hard on his feet. I really think my child is sensitive but who knows!
