We love Idlewild! It is such a great park, and we have made so many fun memories there! For our family, the season passes; they are so worth it! You can go as often as you want in the summer and fall with most of the passes. Their payment plan system they have is great and can make it more affordable for families. Another little thing I wanted to mention. Sometimes we have people in our group that need a wheelchair, and I noticed this year they are offering mobility scooter rentals now, which is great!

Buy your tickets online for special holiday visits. We saved $30.00 per ticket buying online. It is a very nice, "kid friendly" park nestled in the woods with quite a bit of shade. There are a lot of classic rides and park food you will enjoy. There is also the Soak Zone and Storybook Forest. All in all, a nice get away for a day. Located between Latrobe and Ligonier PA. Parking is free.

So much fun we picked up a season pass. It’s the perfect theme park for all ages, but mainly for children. Daniel Tiger has his own section and trolley ride. There is a storybook Forest plus historical locomotive that will drop you off at the front or back of the park. Definitely has a G/PG rated Kennywood vibe with mini sand castle attached. Rent a cabana if you want privacy and a place to escape by the water.

Had a great time at Idlewild & SoakZone with the family! This classic Pennsylvania amusement park really delivers on its promise of being great for families with younger kids. The mix of traditional rides and water attractions makes it easy to spend a full day here, especially during summer. Highlights: - Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood area is absolutely perfect for toddlers - SoakZone was refreshing and well-maintained - Staff were friendly and attentive - Beautiful, shaded park setting with lots of mature trees - Good variety of food options (loved the Turkey leg) Pro tips: Arrive early to beat the crowds, bring water shoes for SoakZone Overall, while it's not the biggest or most thrilling park out there, Idlewild offers solid family entertainment and good value for the price. Perfect for families with kids under 12

My family and I absolutely love coming to this park because of its history. Three generations coming here as kids so it will always have a special place in our hearts. So we truly appreciate the updates they are starting to make in storybook forest and hope to see more to come! The dressed up characters really make it as well. The waterpark, however, was less desirable. All areas had very cold water, even for a high 80’s hot day, and felt very unclean, especially the bathrooms. All food stands throughout all areas of park were understaffed or closed where that could use improvements as well. Also the main last complaint that truly upset us was the fact that they took away some of the most memorable and special rides and attractions that were unique to their park compared to others (the pond boats, toddler bumper cars, crank ride, sack slide). We truly are hoping they will return them after repairs but it does not look like that is the plan unfortunately. We went on a Saturday at the end of August and it was very busy where we did not get to everything we had hoped to ride in park. Overall, had a wonderful time and hope to come back soon!
