As a gift to the community from Hallmark, this free art-making space offers a variety of hands-on activities and experiences that inspire imagination and self-expression.

Kaleidoscope provides a colorful and stimulating environment where children can unleash their creativity through a range of art projects. With each 50-minute studio session, kids and their accompanying adults can choose their own creative adventures. The activities are designed to be both fun and educational, helping children develop their fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and creative thinking. It's definitely a cool place for kids to create Arts and it's FREE. They also validate 2 hours parking ticket at Crown Center. Each session is 50 mins. My little one had such a fun time drawing, making greeting cards and exploring lights. You only need to make reservation for big group (15 or more kids and adults) from Tuesdays-Friday, and they open for walk in only on Saturdays. They also have nice/clean bathroom, and handwashing station. After finishing the activity here, we stopped by the Hallmark Visitors Center next door.

Nice place! Lots of creativity for kids. Definitely ages 2-12 will enjoy this. Most of the activities are repeated but in different forms. It's a one and done for me, but kids will definitely like it again and again. Employees are really friendly and nice. You need to buy tickets in advance, so keep that in mind when planning your visit.

We stopped here during a long weekend visit to KC. This is a great, free makers experience for kids. They don’t take reservations on Saturdays. Each session is 50 min. We got there early and stopped into the Hallmark Visitors Center nextdoor beforehand. My 5 year old enjoyed creating and pressing his own puzzle. There were lots of drawing, creating and exploring arts and crafts opportunities. Probably best for toddler-preschool aged kids.

What an experience! An absolute must for kids!!!! We went with our 3yo and really enjoyed it. We did not make a reservation and walked in to the next available time, waited 15 min but went through the scavenger hunts in the visitors center which was perfect to keep the kiddos entertained.

A free, unique experience for kids and parents that sparks creativity! I love how the materials used are leftovers from other projects. There's so much to do and the time limit makes it so that the kids never get bored. This is a fantastic activity to do in between two other nearby activities or to finish off a great day at the Crown Center and Union Station. The favorites in our family was the melted crayon craft, making puzzles, and the black light area. All the staff was helpful and passionate about what they do! The two drawbacks were signing up for the event in advance (online only has a few spots available so I had to keep checking for availability) and getting to the building (you have to maneuver through hallways to get here from the Crown Center and it's not always well-labeled... we had to ask once or twice how to get there).
