Nice park along the river with great picnic spots. We also enjoyed some of the trails. There's a disc golf course if that's your thing too. My five year old wasn't impressed by the small playground, but still ran around in it for a few minutes. There are basic latrines available. It has a good view of the bridge and the sand bars and woods are great for birding. We heard lots of woodpeckers and even saw two bald eagles.

Very nice park. Has good access to the river for fishing if you were so inclined. A playground for kids, a swinging bench facing the river, a disc golf course and some hiking trails.

I went on a beautiful fall day, and it was PACKED! People kept coming in, driving around, trying to find a place to park. Most areas have space for three cars. But it is a tight fit and can be difficult to get in and out of. They had one swing, which was constantly occupied it was so popular. A stand-alone porch swing. It was nice that about every 3 area had actually rolling trash cans. Some areas had picnic tables, some had grills, and one had a very small covered area. Most areas, if you pulled in, you really couldn't see much of the water due to the tall weeds. There is large play area for kids that is quite far away from the actual pull in areas so you would probably not want to leave your kids so far away and so close to entrance where alot of traffic comes though on a nice day.

We loved stopping here on a road trip. Absolutely gorgeous. Kids could stretch, play, and use the restroom. Perfectly peaceful and restorative. Will return to this piece of heaven any chance I get.
