LEGOLAND Discovery Center San Antonio
REVIEWS
It was alright. I guess I’m not the target demographic. There’s a lot to do for the kids. A race car building challenge, an earthquake platform, several dioramas where you can add your buildings, a spinning ride, a laser shooting ride (which was not working well when I visited), a cinema. There’s also a San Antonio city replica which is beautiful and full of easter eggs. Finally, there is a small Starbucks café inside the place. But, it was sold-out out of most items on the menu.

We got the tickets online in advance and did the bundle with the activity pack and Sea Life Aquatica. 1000% recommend!! We celebrated my son’s birthday with some family and friends and had the best day ever, especially building Legos and riding the small rides. This place is very family friendly, not overly crowded due to the time selection when you purchase your tickets, and very well priced.

Located conveniently near the parking garage end of the mall with individuals giving directions to Legoland and Sea Life. It does feel small for the price, but every inch is engaging for the kids, and they dive right in. You can be hands-on with the kids or sit down and be patient while the y puzzle and build. My great grandson ricocheted safely around the indoor playground for what seemed forever. They do have a supervisor there. He purchased the virtual ride, and he did enjoy that. The environment was bright, colorful, loud, clean, and well managed. The built exhibits are replicas of San Antonio's most iconic buildings and are worth every penny of admission alone. As an added bonus, they alternate day and night lighting for the best photographic opportunities. Overall a very positive experience.

We are annual passholders for Legoland and are very familiar with the theme parks, however this was our first visit to a Discovery Center. My son (age 6) and I had a blast! Friendly staff, clean safe environment, clean restrooms, okay enough food options, and so much to do that offers education as well as entertainment. Highly recommend and we would visit again. Check out our video on our experience on Hammocks to Coasters on YouTube.

We were slightly disappointed on the size of this location, especially for how much we spent for the attractions. I’ve been to other LegoLand locations, and this one does not compare. They should advise you on the size. We did however love the Lego city model of downtown San Antonio It was very detailed and amazing to see how accurate it was.
