LEGOLAND® Pirate Island Hotel
REVIEWS
I loved this hotel. It was our first stay and we loved the customer service and activities available. My children are 14 and 10 years old. My oldest did not care for the park, but enjoyed the hotel. My youngest loved all the Lego stations located throughout the hotel and nightly events. There is daily in room treasure hunts, comfortable beds, I appreciated that the hotel was also gluten friendly, spacious rooms, and never did I feel rushed. Customer service 10/10.

We had the best time at this hotel! My kids absolutely loved it. Little treasure hunt in the room when we arrived which opened a safe with some lego toys and juice boxes. Bunk beds were super cute. Just loved the room and the decor. Every staff member we met went out of their way to help. Breakfast was very good, comes with a ton of food. We encountered no lines at Breakfast but we went first thing. The Shipwreck restaurant was pretty pricey for dinner especially if you have kids that don't eat anything. No matter what, they charge you per head count. The mini golf, s'mores, boat rides are all extra unfortunately. Overall, we had a great stay. Very fun hotel. Yes, it's expensive, but for us it was totally worth it!

I recently stayed at the LEGOLAND Resort Pirates Hotel, and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. The Good: The hotel is in a convenient location if you’re heading to the park, although the Hilton right across the street is just as close. The Cons: Right from the start, the hotel felt chaotic. It’s incredibly loud, with hallways filled with noise at all hours, and there’s a constant smell of food lingering throughout. One of the elevators was out of order, and the other was unreliable, breaking down repeatedly. For families with strollers, this meant waiting endlessly just to get in or out of rooms—far from ideal. The food was another major letdown. It’s unhealthy, tasteless, and left us opting to eat elsewhere despite the convenience of dining on-site. To top it off, the pool with slides was closed, forcing everyone into one overcrowded pool area. Our TVs weren’t working, which wouldn’t have been a huge deal if it weren’t for everything else, but it added to the frustration. When I politely voiced my concerns to the property manager and requested a comp on our late checkout, he was extremely rude and dismissed the request outright. Bottom Line: While the park is fantastic, I’d highly recommend staying across the street at the Hilton. You’ll probably enjoy a much better experience without the headaches.

As an adult, this hotel is awesome (the kids like it too I guess... 😅). The pirate hotel is attached to the main hotel and they're just split by a lobby. The park entrance is a 30 second walk, and you even get your own security line. We've stayed several times and the rooms have always been super clean and the staff have all been amazing. Especially the wait staff at the restraint for the free breakfast! There's just so much to do at the hotel, you don't even need to go into the park. Don't forget to bring your s'mores kit for the bonfire, and mosquito repellent 😬

The shower in room 261 doesn't get above luke warm, which means it's actually cold water by the time it reaches little kids height; it had my little one in TEARS. There were also multiple (at least a dozen) black and brown mold areas in the shower. The sink also was missing the waterfowl restriction, which resulted in water splashing all over the bathroom if not VERY careful turning on the tap. Decor and theming of the hotel was great, but room was BAD.
