Liberty Square Riverboat

This is one of the most relaxing rides at the Magic Kingdom. You take a leisurely paddle wheel boat ride around the rivers of America where you see all kinds of things, from Indians to pirate hideouts. There are some places to sit but most stand and lean against the rails of the three stories you can visit. You ya a really steam powered ship and you see some of the equipment running. Do yourself a favor and ride as it’s rich in history, it opened back when WDW opened but word is they are planning on removing the river. Not sure what craziness is running Disney but do yourself best to ride it before it’s gone. The is good for the whole family.

Very cool and authentic steamboat! There is an audio recording explaining the different sights including Big Thunder Railway and Tom Sawyer’s Island. It’s relaxing and fun.

The gentle 15-minute ride along the Rivers of America offered a serene escape, transporting me back to when paddlewheel riverboats gracefully glided along the Mississippi. The Liberty Belle, named in honor of a real-life river icon, took us past the enchanting sights of Tom Sawyer Island and other picturesque locations. I felt immersed in a world where Mark Twain might have penned another classic. There's a charm to be found on each of the four decks, whether you're seeking the hustle and bustle of the crowd or a more intimate corner to soak in the sights. The top deck provides panoramic views of the park, but I found the lower tiers just as enjoyable. The ride is narrated by a recorded voice that tells stories about the history of the Rivers of America and the Mark Twain-inspired sights along the way. The narration is not loud or frequent, so it doesn't disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the ride. A tip for fellow travelers: Though it's a popular attraction, early birds will find the best seats. So, set your sails (or alarm clocks) accordingly! In a park filled with thrilling adventures, the Liberty Square Riverboat stands out as a peaceful interlude, reminding us that sometimes, the best way to appreciate the magic is to sit back and let it flow around you. An interesting and relaxing cruise with ton of surprises along the way and interesting commentary. Sit back and relax as the old-time steamboat takes a cruise along the lazy old river. A fun and relaxing ride in a nice shady boat.
