Mel's Funway Park

We went fir their Winter Lights walk. At first I was reluctant because I thought $25 to look at some lights was a bit much, but they really did a great job. It's a winding walk through Christmas theme after Christmas theme with heating station and refreshment stands along the way. Each zone or theme area had its own music and setting. This is definitely a great attraction to bring your kids to. There is plenty of parking but you may find yourself parking a considerable distance from the actual entrance, and the fields you park in can be pretty bumpy. They do have wagon rides to bring ppl from the farther parking areas, but if you are healthy, it's not a bad walk.

We went to see the Christmas lights at Mel's and they were absolutely amazing. In addition to the lights being beautiful it was very well run with warmup stations, snack shacks, and plenty of bathrooms. Any staff members I talked to were courteous and helpful.

Updated review: the place is great, many fun games, but not for events. Our organization held an event yesterday at Mel’s and I can safely say that Mel’s lack organizational skills and not used to manage events. First of all, it is hard to get hold of anyone, even if you show up in person! We sent many emails and made many phone calls, we almost got no response and if they responded it would not be clear. If you are going with friends and family then you should be fine. If you have to hold an event there, then I highly recommend to ask for Ben, he is the only director who understands customer service in that place. Half of the staff are friendly and the other half are just there because they have to 😁, they lack customer service skills and if you ask them a question, they call a manager stating code orange 😁. Sorry for the long feedback but I have to get it out so you expect what to deal with. It is sad that a nice place like this has the wrong people running it. Ben and couple other kids are really awesome but the rest they really need a crash course about customer service, otherwise they will go out of business.

WOW! Saw Holly Jolly Journey (Mel's Funway) on NH Chronicle. It looked fantastic, so I checked it out with our family. It far exceeded our expectations!!! I've seen many winter light shows, this one was unbelievable! Staff was exceptional as well. Over 2 Million lights, walking trail for 2/3 of mile, couldn't have been better executed. Can't wait for next year!

Great family fun that won’t break your bank (adult go cart rides are super fun but cost can add up but kiddie carts, bounce houses , and kiddie bumper boats are an overall great value and staple of good kid fun! My only recommendation would be to bring a snack- i didn’t see a snack bar ,so bring a snack especially if the kids will want ice cream during the visit. Perfect place for a weekend day out or after school activities ! Great customer service, staff are all great people and college /high school students- providing local jobs and learning opportunities!
