MindFox Escape Introduce

Welcome to MindFox Escape, located at 7404 Trade St, San Diego, CA 92121, USA. As a highly-rated venue in the Theme Park Directory, MindFox Escape offers unique and engaging escape room adventures designed to provide a personal and immersive experience for all participants.

Environment: MindFox Escape stands out with its welcoming atmosphere. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a personalized message on a board/screen for their party, creating a unique and personal touch. The waiting area is comfortable, unlike some escape rooms where guests are simply left waiting. The escape rooms themselves, such as "Black and White Cafe" and "Moriarty's Manor," are thematically distinct and feature well-thought-out puzzles.

Services: MindFox Escape prides itself on its excellent game masters, Joyce and Isabella, who are described as very helpful with their hints. They are attentive and offer assistance only when needed or requested by the group, ensuring that the challenge remains engaging without being overly frustrating. Hints are unlimited, allowing teams to focus on having fun. For those playing multiple rooms back-to-back, they even offer snacks and water in between games. Booking online is reported to be extremely easy, and they are accommodating, even allowing groups to start their next game early if possible.

Features: MindFox Escape currently offers two distinct escape rooms: "Black and White Cafe" and "Moriarty's Manor." The "Black and White Cafe" is a unique concept with a fully black and white room featuring impressive and challenging puzzles related to baking goods, making it enjoyable for a wide range of players and potentially a good beginner room despite not being "easy." "Moriarty's Manor" is described as more challenging with well-thought-out and unique puzzles, recommended for groups of at least four people. Both rooms are praised for their creativity and entertainment value, requiring teamwork and critical thinking. There is anticipation for a third room, expected by the end of 2024 or early 2025.

Promotional Information: While specific current promotions are not mentioned, the positive reviews highlight the overall value and enjoyment of the experience, with some considering these rooms to be in their top 10 of escape rooms visited. The anticipation for a new third room suggests that repeat customers are valued and encouraged. For any current promotions or updates on the new room, it is best to contact MindFox Escape directly at (858) 800-1234 or +1 858-800-1234.

Based on customer reviews, MindFox Escape offers a top-tier escape room experience in San Diego. The personalized welcome, helpful game masters, unique and challenging rooms, and overall positive atmosphere make it a highly recommended destination for both experienced escape room enthusiasts and newcomers. We loved the experience so much, we did both of their rooms back to back (well, within a week). Right when you walk in, their board/screen has a welcoming message for your party, which I found unique and personal because it almost felt like you were checking into a fancy restaurant or something like that. Seems kind of cheesy, but it was such a small touch, but made the experience more personal than other escape rooms that would just check you in, and have you wait in a corner. Both of the game masters, Joyce and Isabella, were very helpful with their hints on both games, and didn’t try make it obvious with their hints. They both asked if your party would like hints when they notice you are stuck on a puzzle, or only when the party wants/asks for a hint. We chose to have hints only when we ask or raise our hands to the camera. The Black and White Cafe was a unique concept, as the room was literally all black and white. They had very impressive puzzles and they were challenging. Our daughters enjoyed this room, especially since they had a theme of “the Cafe” they had items related to baking goods. Moriarty’s Manor was more challenging. All of the puzzles were well thought out, and some puzzles were unique (some we have never seen at other escape rooms). I’d probably recommend this room with a party of at least 4 people. It would be hard to do with just 2 or like a date night. They mentioned a third room hopefully by the end of 2024, or early 2025. When that game is released, we will definitely be back.

We had a fabulous game experience today at MindFox Games. The whole process from start to finish was a fabulous. Booking is extremely easy online. We did both escape rooms- Black and White Cafe and Moriarty's Manor back to back in a single day, and they even offered us snacks and water in between! Our gamemaster Joyce was great, and we appreciated that she had the forethought to ask if we wanted nudges or to ask for hints. They do have audio/visual into the rooms so they can hear you puzzle things out and will absolutely help you if you get stuck. Hints are unlimited, and I love games like that because let's be honest, we really just want to have fun and it's not that serious. They even let us start our second game early so we didn't have to wait until the official time to start. First, Black and White Cafe is such a unique room. It wasn't "easy" at all like I expected, and the puzzles and their creativity was really quite fun. There is little technology, but everything worked as it was supposed to. We're an experienced group; however, I think that this would be great beginner escape room for those who haven't been or are more casual. I think that our size was perfect and any more would have felt crowded. Group Size 4. Hints: 0. Rating 5/5. Second, Moriarty's Manor was so fun. The theme was great, and the puzzles were challenging, but logical. Everyone had something to do, and we managed to get through with 5 minutes to spare. There was such entertainment value in these puzzles, and we really did have to work together to solve some. Group Size 4. Hints: 1. Rating 5/5. We would highly recommend Mindfox Games to everyone and will happily be back if they have any new games in the future! As a team/family, we've done many escape rooms, and these ones are easily ranked in our top 10.

We’ve only done a few escape rooms before, but The Black and White Cafe was by far the best! And what a creative concept! The newbies in our group are now hooked but the puzzles weren’t obvious or necessarily easy. They were interesting, challenging and unique. We can’t wait to try the other room and hope Isabella is our game master again - she was awesome and kept us from completely blowing it without being intrusive at all! Aces all around!

Wow, this is our 2nd visit to MindFox and it was even better than the first. All 5 of us agree that the experience feels well crafted and engaging, with unique challenges. We are looking forward to the opening of the newest escape room challenge.

Our host stopped the game at 48 minutes instead of 60. We realized what happened and they claimed it was because we were late, but one couple showed up only 1 minute past our scheduled time already with waivers signed. Our whole group was incredibly disappointed. The worst escape room experience we’ve had. The hosts had food delivery show up as we were leaving, I assumed they wanted to eat instead of providing good customer service.
