Based on online reviews, experiences at No. 1 Escapes, Escape Room appear to be varied. Some customers have reported positive experiences, while others have had significant negative encounters.
One first-time escape room participant enjoyed the 'Jesters Revenge Room', noting it was challenging (rated 8/10) and praising the game master as 'super helpful and sweet'. Another group who played a room found it 'so creative' and indicated they would return.
However, a contrasting review describes a highly negative experience involving the owner. This customer reported a lack of clear signage upon arrival, a 15-minute wait outside, and then encountering an owner who was immediately frustrated and rude. The interaction reportedly escalated, with the owner yelling at the reviewer's wife and behaving in a manner that made their daughter scared and uncomfortable. The reviewer described the location as a loud industrial area with poor signage and the office as cramped and unkempt. They strongly advised others to avoid this establishment due to the unprofessional and aggressive behavior encountered.
Given the conflicting feedback, potential visitors should be aware of the possibility of both enjoyable game experiences and negative customer service interactions.
Information regarding the specific environment of the escape rooms themselves, beyond the description of the office and location in the negative review, and detailed features or promotional information is not consistently available in the provided reviews.

It was my first time doing an escape room and loved it! It was a group of 4 of us and my 2 year old in the Jesters Revenge Room. Apparently, it's one of the now challenging ones (8/10). We escaped right in time! The game master was super helpful and sweet! My 2 friends had done a few other escape rooms in the past and they said this one was so creative. I think I'm hooked on escape rooms! We will be back.

Unprofessional and Aggressive Owner – Avoid This Place I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but I feel it’s important to share what happened so others can make an informed decision. My family and I booked this escape room expecting a fun experience, but what we got was the complete opposite. When we arrived, there was no clear signage, no instructions, and no one there to greet us. We waited outside a random door for about 15 minutes, unsure if we were even in the right place. Eventually, I went upstairs to ask for help, and instead of getting a friendly explanation, the owner reacted withimmediate frustration and rudeness. He seemed annoyed that I was even asking, and told my wife and daughter to follow him downstairs in a tone and manner that felt aggressive and unnecessary for such a simple situation. The way he spoke and carried himself made my daughter visibly uncomfortable and scared, so I calmly asked him to tone it down. That’s when things escalated. He started yelling at my wife, demanding she “look at the sign” (again — there was no obvious sign), and when I asked him not to speak to her like that, he completely lost it. The entire interaction felt hostile and out of proportion to anything that happened. It ruined the experience and left our daughter in tears. This is supposed to be something lighthearted and enjoyable. Instead, it felt like walking into a confrontation we never asked for. The location itself didn’t help — it’s in aloud industrial area near the airport, and with no real signage, it felt confusing from the start. The office was cramped and unkempt, which only added to the uncomfortable vibe. One last thing I want to mention: I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner responds to this review with a denial or some version of events that makes it sound like we were the problem. But I encourage anyone reading this to consider — what would I gain by making this up? I’m just a regular person who wanted to enjoy a fun family outing. Instead, I felt the need to warn others so they don’t have a similar experience. Bottom line: This place is not worth the stress. The owner seems to have zero patience for customers and made what should have been a good time into something upsetting. There are plenty of escape rooms out there — pick literally any other one.

Fortune Teller is my favorite of the trilogy. Make sure you do Devlin Manor, then Carnage Cabin, and end with Fortune Teller. It’s definitely more challenging than the other chapters but not impossible. There were a good mix of familiar puzzles and unique ones. A bit overwhelming finding all the different locks we had to solve but as long as we maintained momentum we were fine. The layered puzzles took much of our time but we enjoyed every second of it. There was maybe one puzzle that had us scratching our heads because there was not much context but we figured it out eventually. This was opening weekend of Fortune Teller and there were minor kinks but we didn’t notice them. We also had a great conversation before and after with the owner and crew. We love of passionate this team is about escape rooms. We always look forward to the recap afterwards! We found out some exciting news so stay tuned!!!!!

We did the Carnage Cabin and this did not disappoint, it is the 2nd room in a trilogy but this did not impact on the experience at all. We have done a few escape rooms but this was our first in the US and we were highly impressed. Would certainly recommend.

We do a lot of escape rooms and this one did not disappoint. This was a great room with all kinds of fun movements and very well thought out plan. The clues were given in a way that felt in the spirit of the room. This is a trilogy and we did the first one. We will for sure be back to do more. After we spoke with the owner and he just showed so much passion for the game of it all. Highly recommend!!!!
