North Woodmere Park

A really nice park with several play areas for different ages, a small sand area, and a great water/splash area. The equipment is definitely old but it's still safe and the kids don't really know the difference. Plenty of benches to sit on, a bunch of swings, and lots of baby swings too. The water area that's open in the summer is great, but not all equipment is always on so sometimes it'll just be one structure that's spraying water and there's no way to turn on the rest, which leaves the kids disappointed. Overall it's a great park where everyone enjoys! Be aware that there is a $10 parking fee (cash only) on weekends and legal holidays to park in their lot if you're not a resident of Nassau County, but you can easily park in a nearby area.

"North Woodmere Park is a hidden gem! My family and I absolutely love spending time here. The Olympic-sized pool is a highlight, and the water slides are a thrill for both kids and adults. But that's not all - the park also features tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and so much more! The baseball diamonds are well-maintained and perfect for a game of catch or a local league match. We've spent many afternoons cheering on our favorite teams and making memories with family and friends. But what really stands out is the park's atmosphere. There's always a cool breeze, and the views of planes landing at the nearby airport are fascinating. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy quality time with loved ones. We've had countless picnics, played games, and even made new friends here. The park's energy is lively yet laid-back, making it an ideal destination for families and friends seeking an unforgettable experience. Overall, North Woodmere Park gets a resounding 5 stars from us! If you haven't visited yet, pack a picnic and head over - you won't regret it!"

Beautiful park. $10 for parking for non- residents of nassau County. Need a permit which you must apply for in person if you want to barbecue but there is a small section with 3 Grills that you don't need a permit. Beautiful lake and view and a playground for the kids. Also there's an Olympic size pool with slides but you need a leisure pass.

Nice clean & spacious park. With nice open areas on the waterfront edge to cookout & hang w/family & friends. There is also a large pool with umbrella tables surrounding it. The bathrooms were outdated but decent. Now, the $10 CASH parking fee was a bit sketchy & they charged the early park goers, but not the later ones. No receipts were given & no other forms of pymnt. I don't mind paying, but who carries cash these days!

Large park that was practically empty on cold Saturday morning in late fall. Nice bay views and cool-looking playground.
