Oceans of Fun

This was a major let down. We did this trip as our last small vacation of the year for 2023. We had purchased a Cabana, unlimited food and drinks in the park, and our tickets. Rain and lightning tried its best to keep us out of the water but did finally get to get in the water around 3pm. I would not recommend buying anything in advance as they do NO refund and NO rain checks on any of the items. When getting the unlimited food and drink passes be wary as almost all the food areas were closed. We ended up only getting a few slices of pizza and chocolate covered banana. The water park had most of the kids area roped off as well as the lazy river was not working due to not enough lifeguards (although there were employees everywhere in the shopping area). We will not be returning to this park or at least will only purchase bare minimum for entry as that is all it seems it is worth these days. PS the wave pool was great and favorite area for the kiddos.

We enjoyed our day here. We stayed at the worlds of Fun Village and it was just across the parking lot of the water park. I do wish they had a towel rental or borrowing service, especially for guests staying on site. Some slides had really long waits, so we just skipped those, not would've been nice to try them out. I'm sure staffing is an issue, like it is everywhere. Spent forever waiting on a funnel cake- the process was a mess which seems crazy for the end of the summer. We had to tell 4 different people our order.

Worlds of Fun is fine but ocean's has been getting worse every year as it's always understaffed. I went on a weekday during July and there were no slides open, even the lazy river was closed. They also don't let you swim to the deep end in the wave pool which defeats the purpose of a wave pool.

Been a family favorite for years, however uncertain this year as to the changes or difficulties they are having, but with the half open status and constant closures of attractions sure to lack of staff or other issues it's been rather hard to enjoy like we used to. Still a great trip for my 18 month old who loves water, water slides, and the occasional trek through worlds of fun next door for some snoopy land fun. I simply wish everything could be open and running smooth. Edit: 2024 Things seem to be open as far as attractions, still a great place to go. However the food available has gone down hill every year, and with increasing costs, it may be worth your time and money to picnic outside the park rather than water the money on food passes or purchases at the park. Two years ago the food was amazing with the food tickets, don't bother in my opinion this year, horrible experiences all around (oceans of fun specifically, not seen the works of fun food options).

Short summary, not worth the money you pay. First time visiting for our family and had a pretty poor experience both days. Only one food place was open and we paid $50 for a rubber hamburger and dry chicken tenders. There was a snack place open and we ordered and paid for smoothies. Staff had no idea what kind of smoothies they had and also found out after we paid the machine hadn’t been turned on and it would be a 40 minute wait. Was told to come back and when we did we basically got served flavored ice water. No prices listed anywhere and no condiments available. No communication between staff at the gate to park and staff at the entrance gate. Luckily we purchased a kids pass that gave free parking but parked only to be told due to possible bad weather everything was closed. Staff at the parking gate should have informed us before even letting us in. Needless to say we will probably not be returning.
