Perfectly suited for younger visitors, this park offers a wide range of fun activities that are ideal for children aged 8 and under. With no height or age restrictions on the rides, it’s a great place where little ones can enjoy themselves while feeling included in the fun.

  • Water Play Area: The park features a water play area with duck paddle boats, making it a delightful spot for kids to cool off and have fun without needing swimwear. Parents should note that swim suits are not required or necessary here.

Pirate Paddle Boats: A highlight of the park is the duck paddle boats, where even the youngest children can enjoy floating around with a bit of guidance from the staff. This activity is particularly popular among families with toddlers and young kids.

Dining Options: Pirates' Cove allows visitors to bring their own food and drinks, making it convenient for families to enjoy a picnic while at the park. While the park does offer refreshments for purchase, it can be more cost-effective to bring your own snacks and meals, especially if you have multiple children.

Such a cute little park for young kids! I want to start with it is not a place where you will get wet so you DO NOT need swim suits. That was a mistake I made. I assumed when I seen the duck paddle boats water was involved. If you have smaller children maybe under 8 this is the best place to go! Kids older might not enjoy it as much. It is geared towards the younger children. The rides have no height or age limits which I love! Perfect for the little kids who want to do what the “big” kids do like my 2 year old! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I seen smaller kids around 1 on the paddle boats and the staff member will stay with them and help them paddle around as well. It is so cute! You can bring food and drinks inside and have your own little picnic with your kids. The site says they recommend Socks and gym shoes, but crocs were just fine for my kids. They do sell food but it is pretty expensive if you have more than one child.

This small amusement park was a hit with the kids—they had a blast on all the rides and attractions. Although the lines were a bit long, the fun and excitement made up for it. A great value and a memorable experience for families!

Definitely a very fun place, there are few activities but children can have fun many times. Although you should know that you will have to make another plan to complement this outing. You find a carousel, a very fun mechanical boat game. A playground, a slide area, a pond for paddling, a bounce house, a cafeteria and a bar for lunch or a snack. I didn't take shots of the entire place so you have the surprise factor. Have fun.

Clean, fun, good rides for young kids. The only change that should be made is in the big ship it says make a craft, although there was only a employee girl in there with construction paper and markers that is it. Either have an easy fast craft to be made or at least pirates cove theme coloring sheets would be something. The kids were a little disappointed about no craft to bring home as they are both much into arts and crafts.

Affordable for a weekday escape for our toddler son. Pirates Cove will only charge a fee for the child and not the adults with them! We just discovered Elk grove Park district have lots of nice amenities and are affordable for non residents.
