For my son's 13th birthday on March 22nd, he and 5 of his buddies did the Fortune Teller room. Hamza was our room host and he was awesome! All 6 boys had a great time and with a "little" assistance from Hamza, they were able to solve the room with 2min 30sec to spare! We are definitely interested in trying another room at Portland Escape's Beaverton location!

A Fantastic Escape Room Experience! We’ve done so many escape rooms—probably around 40 by now—and Portland Escape Rooms in Beaverton truly stands out. The rooms are designed with such creativity and attention to detail—they’re not easy, but that’s what makes them so rewarding! There’s only ever been two of us, which makes it even more challenging, but we love it. We’ve tackled several of their rooms so far, including Fortune Teller, The Saloon (also known as Snakebite Saloon), Genie’s Lamp, and Kidnapper’s Revenge. Without a doubt, Kidnapper’s Revenge is our absolute favorite—not just at Portland Escape Rooms, but out of all the escape rooms we’ve ever done. The experience starts out dark, and you’re handcuffed, which immediately sets an intense and eerie atmosphere. It’s genuinely scary, and that sense of danger makes solving the puzzles even more exhilarating. It’s such a well-crafted experience—truly unforgettable! One of the biggest highlights is the staff. Most of the time, we’ve had a fabulous game master—a woman who stays completely in character and brings the whole experience to life. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and it really makes a difference. We’ve also had a young man as our game master, and he was just as great—equally passionate and helpful while maintaining the immersive experience. You can tell that everyone who works there genuinely loves escape rooms and is dedicated to providing a great time. The rooms are well-maintained and clean, and you can see the effort that goes into keeping everything running smoothly—no issues with broken locks or things being out of place. Plus, the pricing is really reasonable for the quality of the experience. If I had one wish, it would be for more rooms! We still have a couple left to try, but we can’t get enough and can’t wait to come back for more. Keep up the amazing work!

We had a great time in the Arcade escape room in Beaverton. The challenges were fun and difficult. With 8 people, each of us was able to contribute in different ways. There was lots of laughter and shouts of triumph and maybe a little panic as the time ticked down toward the end. But we escaped with 90 seconds to spare! Great fun!

We tried the Genie's lamp escape room as a party of 6, with two 10 year olds. Booking was easy. We filled in the waivers online ahead of time, so we reached just a couple minutes before the start of our time. And that worked out just fine. The nice lady started right on time and explained everything with a lot of enthusiasm. We thought that the difficulty level was apt. Just so happened that one of the audio messages didn't quite work for us and one item was too delicate that the kids accidentally broke it, but it was an important item to use to solve a puzzle. Those two mishaps got in the way and we weren't able to finish in time. But it was fun nonetheless. The building and their space could be better marked though. Even though the GPS took us to the right address, we couldn't really find the exact unit inside the building very easily.

Seems fun, good puzzle ideas but the Arcade room was janky. It had an overall unfinished look, one of the puzzles didn't work so they just gave it to us and the staff forgot to reset one of the puzzles so the answer was already showing. In addition, we weren't fans of the moderator being in the room. He would intervene when we were figuring things out to remind us we had hint cards, or even giving hints when not asked like "maybe they have something you're looking for over there". Other rooms we walked by seemed to look better at least. For almost $200/4 people for an hour we expected better
