Round1 Arcade - Humble Introduce

Welcome to Round1 Arcade - Humble, located at 20131 US-59, Humble, TX 77338, USA. You can contact them at (346) 662-1256 or +1 346-662-1256.

Round1 Arcade - Humble, featured in the Theme Park Directory category, provides arcade games and claw machines, attracting customers with its selection of anime figures and entertainment options. Customer reviews offer mixed feedback regarding pricing, claw machine difficulty, and age restrictions.

Customers have noted that the price per play, using the point system, can be a concern. However, they also acknowledge that the machines often have posted hints on how the claws work, which can aid in winning prizes. Some claws are noted to have a "weak grab," leading to inconsistent results.

For those aiming to win prizes, particularly anime figures, mastering a specific machine is key. This may require either watching online tutorials or spending a significant amount of points to learn the machine's mechanics.

This Humble location is smaller than other Round1 arcades, lacking bowling and karaoke rooms. However, it still offers a variety of arcade games and claw machines, which remain the primary draw for many visitors.

Some customers have reported issues with machine calibration, particularly with claw machines. They mention that some machines seem to have an extremely low win rate, potentially due to poor calibration. However, employees are generally available and helpful.

A notable policy is the age restriction after midnight: customers must be 25 or older, or accompanied by someone 25 or older. This differs from other Round1 locations, which typically enforce a 21+ rule.

Key features and services include:

  • Arcade games and claw machines.
  • Anime figure prizes.
  • Helpful employees.
  • Point-based payment system.

Areas of concern noted by customers:

  • Price per play.
  • Inconsistent claw machine difficulty.
  • Potential machine calibration issues.
  • Age restrictions after midnight (25+).

Round1 Arcade - Humble offers a variety of arcade games and claw machines, particularly appealing to fans of anime figures. Potential visitors should be aware of the pricing structure, claw machine variability, and age restrictions after midnight. Contact the venue for any updates on machine calibration and policies.

All in all, will likely be back, but I can sympathize with those concerned with price per play through the point system. There are hints, though, that are posted on most (if not all) of the machines that give decent advice as to how the claws work. I used this advice to win a few prizes, but there are some claws that feel as though they have a weak grab. Once you get a feel for a certain machine, you can almost guarantee success, but you'd honestly either have to watch vids on YT or spend enough points to learn a machine. There was a R1 in Dallas and I swear I may be on a watch list as once I cleared them out of all their Among Us beans. I would watch to see when they'd fill it up again, then I'd hit it up and clean them out once more. It can be done, and they know this. (as I'm writing this, I'm thinking perhaps people like me are the reason they raise the prices...) (...am I the villain...?馃馃槓)

great that there's finally a round1 near houston! it's smaller than the other ones because there's no bowling or karaoke rooms, but that's ok because I mostly go for the claw machines and anime figures, but i wish there were more games with figure prizes. since this location is new, i think a few of the machines aren't calibrated properly. i've been to so many round1s across the country and I know there's a payout blah blah blah. however, there are some machines where it's 1/100 chance. like one of the claws was so big compared to the plushie that the plushie just falls through the claw every time and i really wanted this one so i tried 10 times. maybe the big yellow token plush would have been a better thing to put inside? idk, maybe this is their goal though to have it be impossible. there were also a lot of employees available to help which was nice. some are helpful! and after midnight, security told us that you had to be 25 and up or have someone 25 and up with you. this is new to me, because most round1s i've been to have been 21 and up after midnight. hoping after a year it'll be better!

EDIT: if you are on a smaller budget I highly recommend going to Bellaire in Houston, the claw machines there are easier to get toys from and you can trade them in for nicer prizes behind the counter!!! Second edit with a second visit: Honestly don't waste your time here! They have absolutely no intention to calibrate any of the claws correctly and the pay to play DOESNT WORK FOR RHYTHM GAMES ?????????? honestly you're better off flying to TUSON ARIZONA since whoever owns that one isn't a stingy chud. Still dropped like $200 on prizes ultimately not worth it all over again ahaha loved seeing the food stand open finally but now they cannot even keep prize bags stocked ??? Whoever runs this franchise is who they are referring to when they talk about greed in the Bible fr lol. Let me win my bootleg stuffed animals ... I've been waiting for a round one to open in Houston for ages, I have been to round one in different states before and the claw machines here could be better. I PERSONALLY found it kind of annoying the machines with the best odds of winning were the larger plush instead of the smaller keychain ones (the prizes I actually wanted) were so weak for 9 credits a try. I had better luck getting little plush keychains at ranch 99 lol Still super cute place and winning points for prizes was also super fun and easy!! I had a great time and look forward to another visit

EDIT (3/1): After giving this arcade a bit to get the grand opening kinks out, I returned to see what's new. The cafe is now open, and the food is similar to other Round1's. The takoyaki was delicious, and I love the 99c ice cream CONES! I love that this location uses sugar cones and not the cheap cake cones (or no cones at all). It's a small thing, but it really enhances my visits here. The arcade floor is rather unchanged - still no Gitadora, so I am assuming that they do not have plans to add it to this location. From the looks of it, there really isn't any floor space anyways. Due to the size of this Round1, the claw machine area is limited in what it can offer. There is a decent variety of prizes, but not as many "Round1-quality" prizes (anime figures, exclusive plushies) compared to other locations. Overall, this is still a fun arcade to spend a few hours. The selection of imported rhythm and racing games is solid, along with classic American arcade games. I really enjoyed both visits. However, I expect that when the Willowbrook location opens I will be visiting that one exclusively. ORIGINAL REVIEW (Grand Opening): Exciting new arcade coming to the Houston area! This Round1 is much more compact from other locations but still has a lot of the standards that make it great. It has a lot of imported rhythm games and DDR, but it is sadly missing Gitadora. I hope they have plans to add it soon, or we'll have to wait for the Willowbrook location to open. A much needed addition to the Houston area and can't wait for it to grow!

Came right after church for the first time here with my 4 kiddos. Bowling area is not open yet but we鈥檙e excited for that. We ordered large cheese pizza, ramens and ice cream. Everything is so delicious and the pizza is amazing and we are still under our budget. Restrooms are clean, hopefully people can keep it that way. Even though some guests say it鈥檚 small arcade, don鈥檛 let that ruin your day because they have plenty of games and prizes for claw machines are not the cheap kinds especially the plushies. Victory Zone is on steroids with those prizes too! Some complain about how much they spent on the games and not win or come up with amount of toys they would like, be real it鈥檚 how you control the machine to win the prize. You can鈥檛 expect to get everything like some people that actually knows how to play. We鈥檙e just glad to have something that has other options on food especially Asian food! On top of that, it鈥檚 literally connected to the mall! So when you feel like taking a break, you can walk the mall and come back. My kids and I felt welcome, didn鈥檛 see any kind of attitude from Manager and crew. They are on top of everything! We look forward to coming back and for bowling of course.
