Shock Wave

Still a fabulous ride after all these years. When it was constructed we used to pull over on the highway just to watch it. I'm not a fan of the current color scheme and the queue was ruined with the upcharge go-karts, but the ride itself is still a blast.

This Schwarzkopf looper stands the test of time, as it not only remains Six Flags Over Texas's best classic coaster, but one of their best coasters, second only to New Texas Giant and maybe Titan and Mr. Freeze. However, because it is a classic coaster and is relatively hidden in the back of the park, it often has much shorter waits than these newer thrill coasters. Happy 45th anniversary, may Shock Wave continue to thrill riders for 45 more years!

Perfect ride absolutely loved it almost threw up though because I ate right before that but every thing else was my favorite for a very underrated coaster but if you try this and ur scared just try it again you will not regret it

12 december 2021: The Shockwave, it was so amazing that I went on it TWICE in a row because there was no queue. I was waiting seven years for this day to come (first time at six flags in 2014 I chickened out due to the loops). First time ever going upside down on an amusement ride. Definitely recommend 💯.
