Slick City Action Park Introduce

Welcome to Slick City Action Park, located at 1435 N 113th St, Wauwatosa, WI 53226, USA. As an action-oriented amusement park listed in the Theme Park Directory, Slick City offers a variety of activities for different age groups.

Based on customer reviews, experiences at Slick City Action Park appear to be mixed, with both positive aspects and significant concerns raised.

On the positive side, one reviewer appreciated that there was a designated area for small children and noted the presence of a height limit for this area. Another reviewer found the height and age restrictions to be clearly marked and communicated at check-in, and they appreciated knowing what was included in their purchased package. Filling out the waiver online was also noted as super easy and valid for a year, making future visits potentially smoother. This reviewer indicated they would be returning, especially looking forward to the opening of a larger portion of the park in a few months.

However, significant negative feedback highlights several issues. One reviewer found the toddler area to be small and, more importantly, highly unregulated, with many teenagers disregarding the 45-inch height limit and making it unsafe for younger children to use the jungle gym and slides. They reported having to intervene themselves as staff did nothing to enforce the rules. Another major concern was the lack of staff supervision and instruction at the bigger slides. This reviewer stated that staff members were often engaged in conversation and did not provide any guidance on how to use the mats or safely go down the slides, resulting in injuries for their entire group, ranging from minor burns to a severe head/nose injury for the reviewer themselves, which caused a lasting migraine. They also noted a chin burn from the experience. This negative experience, attributed to the lack of staff regulation and parental control of other children, led this reviewer to conclude they would never return.

Additional points include a wish for the food menu to be available online prior to visiting and the observation that the park can be somewhat expensive, with an entry cost of around $30 per person.

The environment at Slick City Action Park includes different zones, such as an area for small children with a jungle gym and slides, and larger slides for older participants. Services include providing access to these attractions. Features include designated areas for different age and height groups, and an online waiver system. However, based on recent reviews, potential visitors should be aware of concerns regarding inconsistent enforcement of height limits in the toddler area, a lack of staff regulation at the larger attractions leading to potential safety issues and injuries, and the absence of a readily available food menu online. No specific promotional information was mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users in Wauwatosa, WI, considering a visit to Slick City Action Park should carefully weigh the positive aspects like the designated small kids area and easy online waiver against the serious negative feedback concerning safety, lack of regulation, and potential for injuries.

I enjoyed that there was an area for small kids! I appreciated the height limit, although I do wish that someone had been enforcing the height limit. There were a lot of much bigger kids in the area that were sort of taking over the jungle gym and slides. The menu for the food didn't seem to be anywhere on the website and I wish it was so I had known what options there were. The height and age restrictions are clearly marked and asked about at check in. I appreciated knowing exactly what sections were for what and what was included in the package that I purchased. Filling out the waiver online while waiting was super easy and it looks like that's good for the next year so the next visit should be even easier. And we WILL be back, especially because the larger portion of the park will be accessible in a few months.

Ok, so I was really excited to try this place. I love water parks, roller coasters & all that. So this was something I was looking forward to with my kids — 13, 7, 9, & 3! Expect to pay about $30 a person, so it’s not cheap. We had two adults go so we could switch off with the toddler. I’m going to first start off by saying that the toddler area is small. There’s not much for a 3 year old to do, but she still enjoyed it. The worst part about the toddler area is that it is HIGHLY UNREGULATED. You are supposed to be 45 inches or less to get into the toddler area, but there were a bunch of teens running around in it & was impossible for my 3 year old to navigate the jungle gym safely. I had to get in there and climb around with her and check some kids who were pushing through younger kids. The staff did nothing. As for the bigger slides, the staff there were busy talking to each other. At no point did they tell you how to use the mats properly or how to safely go onto the slides. Every single one of us left this place with an injury. Some minor like burns on hands. But like for me, going down the yellow slide that flings you into the air to then land on a mat, I hit my head/nose so hard on the mat that its been 14 hours now & I still have a migraine from it. I initially thought my nose was bleeding or that I broke my nose! My chin also has a burn on it from it. All in all, I think the biggest problem we had was that staff didn’t regulate or control the people there. Nor did the other kids parents. Leaving us with a bad experience and a reason to never come back!

My friend and I had an amazing time! The lines for the slides were short, and the staff kept everything running smoothly. Most slides had attendants who were friendly and attentive, making sure everyone knew when it was their turn. We even saw one staff member politely remind a child to wait their turn, which showed how well the team managed the environment. While we’re hoping to return for an adults-only night, we were pleased to see that the children there were generally well-supervised and respectful. It was a fantastic experience!

Really had a great time with my grandson and other kids. My grandson was scared of heights all of a sudden 😂 but he spent darn near the whole time playing dodgeball and having a great time. We did order a pizza and somehow there was a mistake and it took over fifty minutes for our pizza and it was not really worth the wait, next time we’ll probably eat elsewhere. Overall it was definitely worth the money for the kids to let off steam and have a great time. Also even though there were lots of kids and parents it didn’t seem loud and plenty of places for parents to sit and watch.

Unfortunately, my daughter stepped on a piece of glass as soon as we got into their establishment. We believe it’s because they had just opened and they were still in the process of getting everything together. A lot of the building materials were still out in the open and you could tell that they were still finishing the last touches of the buildings. There were traces of building materials (screws, wires, etc, that could get cut you up) left on the floor. She came up to me and said that her foot was hurting, and she pulled out this piece of glass that went through her sock into her foot. Krista who was working was very helpful and did the very best that she could with helping us. I understand it wasn’t her fault or the workers there. She provided us with tickets to return on another day. I do wish that the company had done a thorough job on making sure that the building was properly cleaned before children were running around with their feet that are only being covered by socks. We were able to clean her feet with that antiseptic cleaner that was provided by the company. After the incident we were able to really enjoy the slides and the kids had a fun time. That was the only negative part that we had to our experience. Be mindful that some slides are pretty fast so I would recommend wearing some long sleeve shirts and pants so that you don’t get a rug burn. Even then you make it one, my eldest to get a nasty one on her right elbow. Some of the slides need an extra support when landing due to height there’s a large drop that could hurt some people.
