Sloomoo Institute - Chicago Introduce
Welcome to Sloomoo Institute - Chicago, located at 820 N Orleans St, Chicago, IL 60610, USA. As an interactive experience center listed in the Theme Park Directory, Sloomoo Institute offers local users and visitors a unique and engaging encounter focused on slime and sensory play.
Based on customer reviews, Sloomoo Institute provides an awesome and fantastic time, particularly for children. The experience is described as super interesting, very interactive, and fun, with the slime making activity being a highlight. Visitors have noted that the facility is clean and the staff is great, receiving positive remarks for their friendliness and helpfulness.
However, some reviewers have pointed out that the tickets can be quite expensive for the duration of the experience, which typically lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. Despite the cost, it is recognized as a great activity for a rainy day. Visitors can participate in various activities throughout the institute, although the "kitchen tour" might not be available on weekdays. The staff are consistently praised for being friendly, helpful, and kind.
The gift shop at Sloomoo Institute is considered to have reasonably priced items. One optional activity is getting slimed, which requires an extra fee. Some visitors felt that for the price paid to be slimed, the amount received (noted as twice) could have been more. Overall, the experience is described as very fun, interactive, playful, and semi worth the price, suggesting a generally positive but potentially costly outing.
A practical tip from a reviewer is to fill out the waiver online before visiting to avoid delays at the entrance. This suggests that a waiver is required for participation. The environment of Sloomoo Institute is interactive and sensory-focused, centered around slime-related activities. Services include the general admission to explore the institute and participate in the various slime experiences, with an additional charge for getting slimed. Features include the slime making experience, various interactive stations, and a gift shop. While no specific promotional information was mentioned, the positive reviews highlight the fun and interactive nature of the experience, making it a potentially appealing option for families and individuals looking for a unique and playful activity in Chicago, despite the noted cost.

Overall, the tickets were quite expensive for the experience. The experience itself lasted 60 to 90 minutes. It was very fun and it’s a great rainy day activity. We did all of the activities you could do except for the kitchen tour at the end because we went on a weekday. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and kind! I don’t think the gift shop prices were too bad. We did pay extra to get slimed in our opinion they could have gotten slimed more than twice because of the price of the ticket. all in all, it was very fun, interactive, playful, and semi worth the price! I would recommend filling out the waiver before you go, so you’re not standing there and filling it out while you’re waiting to get in!

I am so happy we found this place and spent the money. $40 per person and had been well worth it! The staff from the moment we walked in to when we left were INCREDIBLE. They were all so much fun, nice, friendly and just awesome! Parking was available right outside. We were able to check our jackets/belongings in at the front. The entire place was extremely clean and tidy (you’d think a slime factory would be the last of “clean” places). This was 100% fun for everyone, including the adults. Out of 4 kiddos ranging from 10 months - 8 years and 3 adults, there was nonstop fun. We felt safe. There weren’t a million people on top of each other. It wasn’t loud or overstimulating. We arrived at 1 and stayed until 3 and that was without doing the Sloomoo falls. 10/10, we will be recommending to everyone

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!!! I was like a big kid. I suggest purchasing the package to make your own slime and to be slimed. THE SLOOMOO CREW WERE ALL AMAZING. My older sister just retired but was ready to work there because she had so much fun.

This place seems great for kids to enjoy hands-on experiences. Ticket prices vary depending on the time, and I paid $46.99 during a popular time for kids. It might be better for adults not to buy a ticket, as there isn’t much for them to participate in. While it feels a bit expensive for the experience, it’s worth visiting at least once. The kids absolutely loved it and had a great time!
