South Beach Park and Sunshine Playground

I love this park! It's beautiful, and my son loves to skate here, away from the streets. It's a safe and well-kept place for kids and teens. It's wonderful to watch him and others enjoy themselves – skating, rollerblading, scootering, biking, and playing on the swings. It's also great that I can enjoy skating again at 43!

I was on a run when I came across this empty basketball court. It was meant to be! I did a high school basketball workout. (Details not needed.) Nothing beats a solo workout! Afterwards, I explored the park. It was bustling – sand volleyball, pickleball, soccer, skate park, playgrounds, birthday parties, workout equipment. Fantastic! I loved the toddler play area! This park is popular, so it gets crowded. I recommend going early, around 9 am.

This park is well-maintained, with updated equipment and it's always clean. It's one of the best in Jacksonville for families. Centrally located, so it gets busy. Highly recommend it if you have kids or are new to the area. Great outdoor option!

This park is amazing for families and kids of all ages and abilities! So much to do: tennis, basketball, soccer, skate park, and two playgrounds. There's a seasonal splash pad too! Plenty of seating, restrooms, water fountains, picnic tables, grills, and a walking path. There's also a rec center, but I didn't go in.

I recently visited this playground with my children, and it was fantastic! There are so many different things to play on, making it perfect for kids of all ages. From swings to climbing frames and slides, there's something for everyone. The entire area is well-maintained and very clean, which is always a plus. In addition to the playground, there are volleyball fields and a football field, so it's great for older kids and adults as well. It's the perfect spot for a family outing. The only downside was the toilets—they are available, but they're not always the cleanest. Other than that, we had a great time and will definitely be back!

Fantastic park even though when we went it was absolutely packed. We've been to a bunch of parks in jax with my 20 mo old and this is the best one so far. A lot of things to entertain smaller and older children, lots of slides, monkey bars, swings, etc. If it weren't for the distance we'd prolly go more often. I unfortunately did not notice bathrooms and we had to leave but I may be mistaken and there's such amenities

Had an awesome time there with my girls and my grandbaby 👶🏾 ❤️. Park was clean, and there were plenty of slides, swings, spinning things 😀. The area was really spacious and had plenty of seating, so you could chill and keep an eye on your kid. I'm definitely coming back 😃😃

It’s one of the best playgrounds here in jacksonville! I love that there is a separate play area for baby’s and toddler, so they can run safe and free while the bigger kiddos can explore and play in another attraction. Perfect during week days and maybe a little too crowded on weekends.

The playground is huge and equipped with all the necessary materials required for a top of the line. This park has soccer field, softball fields including sand for volleyball option. The park also have nice size skate park which in my opinion needs some guardrail to prevent kids from falling and hurt themselves and other. The park is often really busy with a lot of family that come to spend some fun time together.
