I live down the street from the splash pad and have driven past it hundreds of times. My kids and I notice the splash pad as we drive by but never stop because it looks like it's for toddlers. My children are six and nine and the 9-year-old is just about 10. As we were counting down the days left until school My daughter had a monumental weekend where she finally learned the art of the two wheel bicycle. It was time to branch out with our bikes. We drove by the splash pad and stopped at the sand pit, which also doubles as an archaeological dig for dinosaur fossils. After almost 2 hours of digging and discovering, we were all very hot. The next 2 hours would be spent at the splash pad running through the various sprinkler systems with smiles on her faces and not a care in the world. Whoever said we were too old for a splash pad? Well we were back the next day for a couple of hours. The moral of this long review is that sometimes you just need to try it for yourself.

This is a great neighborhood splash pad, we’ve been here a few times and the kids enjoy it. It seems well taken care of and doesn’t seem to get too busy often.

We enjoyed the spray park quite a bit! It was nice to be able to watch the kids from a convenient, shady spot. Knowing the bathrooms were nearby was comforting as well.

Great feature of the Lindenhurst Park District. My 2 yr old had a great time splashing around, while I stayed cool under the shaded benches. The roundabout sign says open 'til sunset but it's really until 6p then the water get shut off. There are tables if you want to eat. There is also a playground a couple of blocks away; no street parking allowed so best to leave you car in the splash pad lot.

Splash pad is closed for the season. I should have checked the website before making the drive. Restrooms are still open however and very clean with changing tables.
