I’ve driven by this place several times, thought it was for sure it was abandoned? Very excited to experience this coaster. 5/5 because I know it’s going to be awesome

The Cyclone is a quirky medium wooden coaster. The ride's posted speed is almost certainly exaggerated, as the ride is only 70 feet tall with an 80 foot drop. It's super compact though, which adds to the ride's intensity and sense of speed. The first half of the coaster is quite forceful. The awkwardly banked valleys do make for a bit of an uncomfortable ride when riding with another person. Back car, front row is my preferred seat. It's got the intensity and air of the very back but without any of the extreme jackhammering and discomfort. The front is very smooth for a wooden coaster, especially one this old. The first rise after the main drop has a surprisingly powerful moment of airtime. Quite the pleasant surprise for first time riders. But despite how great the first half is, the second half is weak. The return leg feels like a kiddie coaster with a lack of airtime on those bunny hills. It's a fun coaster, but nothing to go out of your way to ride. As an ACE landmark I hope that the Lakeside Cyclone can entertain families for years to come, and not meet the same fate as its sister coaster Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake Park.

This Ride is always closed. This ride was the main reason I would visit this park.

It is very old and run down.

I was told this has been closed for quite some time because someone broke their arm.
