I recently visited this escape room with 4 of my friends, 2 of them are escape room experts and really wanted to visit this location. We had a great time, we went three days in a row. We did 5 of their escape rooms: The Mummy Room, Dr Whack, Titanic, Pirate Ship, and The Cabin. We also did their Great Big Game Show. We loved all of the rooms. Dr Whack and Titanic were our favorites, the puzzles were so engaging and clever, and the design of the rooms was very well done. The Cabin was our least favorite, the puzzles were a bit confusing and one of them specifically was really annoying (I don't wanna give spoilers). We loved the game show, Patrick was our host and he was amazing. He told us he'd only been doing it a few weeks- he fooled us! It seemed like he'd been doing it for years, he was a natural. Tonio and Shay were two of our game hosts for the escape games, they were awesome, super fun and helpful. Talya was also a very friendly face at the front desk who answered all of our questions and really made us feel welcome. The bar staff were friendly and quick, honestly everyone we encountered was lovely and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. I also really like the merch selection they had. Thanks so much for the fun games!

The Escape Game DC (Georgetown) was an outstanding experience. The escape rooms provided by this company are challenging, well-themed and staffed with excellent, knowledgeable employees. We have also done some of their escape rooms in Myrtle Beach, SC. Overall, I think they are high-quality escape rooms. We love escape rooms and signed up for the "The Curse of the Mummy" and the "Titanic" escape rooms with about an hour break between them. We showed up and were greeted by Jorge. Excellent employee who was great to work with, professional and very helpful. Fantastic! "The Curse of the Mummy" was well themed and had a difficulty rating of 7/10. Including myself, we had four members on our team. We escaped in about 26 minutes (with one clue), but we have done many escape rooms. It was really well done and very enjoyable. "Titanic" was our second escape room and it again is well-themed. It has a difficulty rating of 8/10. We added a couple, for a total of 6 players, who was also well versed in escape rooms. We escaped in 36 minutes, with one clue. This is located in Georgetown on M Street NW and there is a parking garage very close on Bank Alley NW. The location is the largest waiting area I have ever seen in any escape room with a full bar and plenty of games to pass the time. I signed up online and completed the waivers before arriving. I suggest you do the same. It is a great experience for up to 8 players and I believe well worth the costs, etc. Rooms are really well done and challenging. Great employees to enhance the experience.

This was my first time doing an escape room experience & it was fun. We picked The Escape Game DC since it was close to our hotel and the time for the Dr. Whack’s Elixir of Life escape game worked out for our group of 9. The Escape Game has several different themed escape games available. We were able to book the reservations online and also check-in & sign the waiver online, so our check-in process once we arrived took seconds. The Escape Game DC staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a bar where you can order various wine and beer selections at a reasonable price. There are some games to play while you wait to be escorted to the escape room. We waited a few mins until our escort led us downstairs. There are small lockers for your coats and other things, which you can use while you’re in the escape room. The attendant took us to the Dr. Whack’s Elixir of Life escape game room. Once locked in the room, our folks were off and running and finding some great clues. I felt like a few people, who were familiar with the escape room experience were immediately assessing the room and clues and calling things out. You can hit a button to request a clue if you need/want one, but only when you all agree that’s what you’re doing to do. The screen will then show a clue. The room was set-up like an apothecary, so lots of random, quirky items. The goals is to find the magic potion, which we did with 20 mins to spare. There were two rooms to explore with lots of close everywhere. You really have be observant and be able to make connections in unusual ways to solve the clues. I will say that the production quality was just okay. Several of my colleagues, who are escape room aficionados, weren’t impressed with the production quality relative to other escape rooms they have been to in other cities like New Orleans and San Francisco and didn’t feel like it was worth the $40. A few of the lockers to store your things were broken, which was a little frustrating. Overall, the silver lining is that it was a fun experience for an impromptu group outing on a Saturday night. We had some good laughs, got some fun pics; bonded and got to see a bit of Georgetown after a long work day/week. There were a few of us who hadn’t been to an escape room before, so it was cool to experience. Would I go again, sure to a different theme and maybe with a smaller group.

Chill but challenging. Offers multiple escape room experiences with various difficulty levels. (All of them are distinct vibes.) You get unlimited hints with no penalty. Went with two friends and did The Cabin - the easiest one offered. I highly recommend! Will definitely be moving up in difficulty next time.

Lots of fun! I had a great time with my coworkers. There were some construction or hvac work being done what we had to step over to get into our room, but besides that I had a blast! I think
