The Great Outdoors Waterpark

I had my sons first birthday at this pool. It is such an amazing area and everyone was impressed with the pools. They have a smaller area for infants and toddlers. The bathrooms were clean and staff was friendly. The canopy that comes with the rental is a good size and you get free frozen treats from their concession stands which was a huge all the kids who attended were happy about. The prices are very reasonable compared to other pools who do not include the nice canopy and frozen treats. I lost my phone and the staff was nice enough to help me look through the trash for my phone. They were two young high school aged boys. I highly recommend this place. I rarely do reviews but felt this place was highly deserving of one.

This place is a hidden gem. I tell parents all the time about it all the time and it seems like not a lot of folks have tried it. There is an entrance fee for folks visiting, similar to any water park but it’s pretty casual - like a park or playground. There are 4 areas to enjoy the water: - the toddler pool with the giant water bucket (dumps about 5 min apart) - great for toddlers - event this section has a more chill area for kids who are ~1yo. - lap swim pool with a diving board - lazy river - bigger slides. Great for adults and kids 7yo and older The snack shop is reasonably priced but they don’t have much in the way of food. You can bring in any food that isn’t in glass containers which makes it helpful for people with kids who just want a pb&j or snacks! You can grab a lounger or bring chairs/blanket to set it out on the grass. There is a lot of space to lounge!

Kids had a blast here. It's new, so it's clean and well thought out. I feel the prices are good for what you get. There is enough for little kids to do and plenty for older kids and adults to do too. There is a lack of shade, so that's the only reason I didn't give it five stars. There were people who brought tents and canopies, it would be nice to not have to do that. Otherwise, go here for a fun afternoon with the kids.

For those considering hosting a birthday party here - I had my young child's birthday party at GOWP this summer, with guests ranging from 2-11 years old. I was able to reserve a canopy by the zero-entry pool area, which is great for younger kids. We had absolutely no issues with capacity or getting guests in. We were able to bring in food, snacks and cake. I had a couple of specific questions beforehand, and it was easy to communicate with the woman who organizes the birthday parties. It was relatively inexpensive and very fun for all attendees - this place has something for everyone!

My child was right at the mark to be able to go down the slides, but unfortunately since they were able to swing the measuring stick over his head he was just a bit too short. The manager, Kathleen, took the time to explain why he was unable to go down the slides due to safety. I appreciate her taking the time to kindly explain. We came from out of town and had a blast! Snack bar has great options.
