What a fabulous experience! I happened to be driving cross-country through Kansas City over the summer, and I'm so glad I made the time to stop at The Rabbit hOle! I visited first thing in the morning and rushed through in about 40 minutes, as I needed to get back on the road. I attended alone, as a 42-year-old, and I had a great time living the nostalgia of my youth. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves, from families with small children, all the way up to groups of retirees. The exhibits were interactive, from things to climb in, on and through, to a pupppet theater, and a human-size "hamster wheel" to power a tugboat. I loved the range of books from "vintage" to current-day favorites. Many of them I had long forgotten from my childhood but instantly brought back fond memories. It looked like they were still expanding, and if I find myself in KS again, I will definitely plan to return and spend more time!

What an amazing experience. No expense has been spared to make these stories come to life. My kids and I love how the art flows from the exhibits to the infrastructure itself. So many favorite stories come to life and I was introduced to so many more as well.

We didn’t really plan our trip to The Rabbit hOle beyond turning up and didn’t really know much about what we were heading into. Essentially this is a space where scenes and cosmetics from kids stories have been brought to life. The stagecraft is strikingly good and I found it quite satisfying to see scenes from the few books I had read as a child or with my children. I thought it was a little pricey for what it was, especially for kids and seniors who get no concessions at all, and I thought it was a little light on activities for the kids it seems to be aimed at. As a parent I’m not sure I’d be a repeat customer, but to wonder through once? Absolutely. It looks like more development is underway so hopefully there is slightly more to this attractive but ultimately quite shallow experience to come. It feels like quite a good start.

This place is truly amazing!! Every single inch of it has a special touch!! I spent hours with my daughter! We love to read and this was an extraordinary experience for us! We also enjoyed the cafeteria!! Coffee, cheese tasting and pancakes were amazing!! Everyone that works there is so nice, caring and loving!! A lady that works there put 10 cents into a horse for my daughter to ride it! The lady at front desk helped me to get to the building and the guy at the cafeteria got our food to the table!! I highly recommend this place to everyone ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My friends and I went during the week and there was no wait, and it wasn't too busy at all. They're still working on adding more stuff upstairs, but I still thought it was worth the price of admission ($16 for adults) and there was lots to see. The exhibits are all really well done and I liked that they had the books available by the displays so you could read (or skim) the stories. The restroom was clean and easy to get to from inside the exhibit which I'm sure is a lifesaver for people with kids. I will definitely be back!
