1st of all the ladies that were running the front desk get a 5 stars. So friendly, kind, & helpful. We chatted for at least 15 minutes & walked away with a welcome bag full of maps & brochures. The facilities were well maintained which included the information building with free coffee & bathrooms, 2 play structures for different age groups, outdoor bathrooms, picnic tables, pavilion with picnic tables & grills, walking paths, memorial plaques, fountain with cascading waterfall, & fighter jet on display all connected with sidewalks. The only reason I couldn't give it a five star was the road noise from I40 was constant. I was very hard to hear or be heard.

It’s disappointing to see how badly the pond is being maintained and I would hope MWC would do better. The fish are hanging out under the trash and it’s understandable it’s near the highway. But I would assume that would be well thought out before construction. I started to second guess if the fish were dumped or even supposed to be here for how bad it looked.

We stopped here to take a break on our way to Weatherford. They have a nice little visitors center with a gift shop and clean restrooms. There is a nice playground for the kids to run around on, and it was neat to see the plane kept there.

My daughter likes this park. I love the jet. It has a cool water feature but it's hard to see from the road and highway.
