Wasn't so crowded when we went. You get to wear 3d glasses and sit with a small group. Essentially go on a high speed chase around town. Pretty kid friendly and wasn't that intense of a ride

Yikes, seeing this ride’s ratings and skimming reviews, I feel like the odd one out as far as my experience and opinion goes - here it is! Let me preface, I’m not a Transformers fan, BUT I appreciate good rides! The queue was neat, we walked through fast as there was no wait. I was nervous about motion sickness since I’m prone and I’d be warned, but I was completely fine. In my personal opinion, the ride was anticlimactic, and my friend group found it boring. Anyway, that’s just our experience, it’s nice to see others enjoy it!

Yeah it's an okayish ride, but I expected more. The wait time is kind of boring because it's so long and with red/blue lights, meaning you can't even go on your phone and see the stuff. But the general ride itself is not bad, it shakes the cart a lot though, so be aware--if you have pants without pockets--my phone slipped and I lost it.

Go to this ride first thing in the morning and you won’t have to wait more than 5 minutes to get on this ride. I think it took longer going through the Nest Facility building to get to the ride than the wait to get on the ride itself. You do get to go through a bit of a themed Nest Facility building telling the story of how you’ll be trained to help the transformers save the world as a new recruit. For the ride itself, each section seats 8 people with 4 people in each role. You’ll also get 3D glasses to put on. The ride is moved from room to room in front of a big projector screen in time with the action sequences. It is all action sequences so you’ll be bouncing along with the ride. Maybe since I went through the line up so quickly and didn’t get the full detail of what’s going on, I felt like I was thrown right into battle mode which is a bit jarring. It can be a bit scary for little kids as there is Megatron and the action sequences of the baddies. The ride was over relatively quickly, but the story wrapped up well. Then you return the 3D glasses before you exit the building.

We visited Universal Studios for the first time on 12/3/2024. Fortunately we went on a non-busy weekday and had only a 5 minute wait time. I thought my robot obsessed son would like it, but it ended up being the least favorite ride we went on at Universal Studios Hollywood. The waiting line has a lot of blaring alarms and sirens which was stressful. The ride was too loud, jerked you around, and the 3D visuals made me sick. We never watched the Transformer films, so there was no connection for us either, but my son did go home and watch a film after the ride (so he still likes robots and mecha just not this ride). If you get nauseous from the visuals, just close your eyes and it lessens it. After our trip, my son said this ride would give him nightmares and my husband said it hurt his neck. This was the first ride of the day for us, so it was a bit of a disappointing start. Since my son was scared by the ride, he refused to look at or even enjoy the character sightings of transformer robots (which were very well done in my opinion). But now that he saw the film and loved it, I kinda wish he had gotten a photo with them on that trip! FYI, if you have a kid with autism that is sound sensitive and easily made anxious, I would not recommend the Transformers 3D ride at all. Overall, I think Universal should smooth out this ride to make it less jerky and by all means lower the volume.
