Verse Immersive Chicago Introduce

Welcome to Verse Immersive Chicago, located at 108 N State St Suite 150, Chicago, IL 60602, USA. As an immersive entertainment center listed in the Theme Park Directory, Verse Immersive Chicago offers local users and visitors virtual reality experiences designed to be adventurous and engaging.

Based on customer reviews, the experiences at Verse Immersive Chicago appear to be polarizing. One visitor, who was taken as a birthday surprise, thoroughly enjoyed their time, participating in the Primal Fighter and the Art of the Future experiences. They found these to be very realistic, recounting an instance where the immersion felt so real they reacted physically. This reviewer described it as a great experience for young people and anyone seeking a new adventure, praising the friendliness and encouragement of the staff. They also expressed interest in returning to try the Unreal Garden and the Astro League.

In stark contrast, another reviewer described their experience as the "worst ever," deeming it not even worth $10 and labeling the provided VR glasses as worthless. They criticized the experience as taking place in a very small space where people bumped into each other. This reviewer felt it was not what they expected and suggested a minimum age of 10+, as their 8-year-old did not enjoy it and required assistance. They described the animation as stupid and trivial, and the shiny colors caused them a headache. They also mentioned that staff repeatedly reminded them about the high cost of the headsets. Ultimately, this reviewer felt the experience was worthless and unenjoyable for their entire group, suggesting it was more akin to torture than fun.

The services offered at Verse Immersive Chicago include various immersive virtual reality experiences, with specific titles mentioned being Primal Fighter, Art of the Future, Unreal Garden, and Astro League. Key features highlighted by one positive review include realistic and adventurous simulations and friendly, encouraging staff. However, a critical review points out potential issues with the quality of the VR technology ("worthless glasses"), a confined physical space, simplistic animation, and potential discomfort (headaches). The suitability for younger children also seems to be a point of contention. Given the strongly contrasting opinions, potential local users should consider both the positive descriptions of realistic and adventurous experiences and the negative feedback regarding the technology, space, and overall value before deciding to visit Verse Immersive Chicago. No specific promotional information was mentioned in the provided reviews.

My spouse surprised me for my Birthday and took me to Verse Immersive Chicago, Block 37, 108 N State, Chicago,IL. We did the Primal Fighter and the Art of the Future. Very realistic and I actually ran out because I felt like a dragon kept chasing me, 馃槅. This is a great experience for young people and anyone who wants a new adventure to encounter. The staff is friendly and encouraging. I want to return to see the Unreal Garden and maybe for my spouse the Astro League. So head on down for an adventurous experience.

This is the worst experience ever. Not even worth $10. Worthless glasses with a very small space that you walk inside around other people bumping at each other. It is not what I expected also it should be 10+, my 8 years old did not have fun and needed assistance. Very stupid trivial animation. The shiny colors give me a headache and they have to keep reminding you about how the headset is so expensive. Overall not worth anything. It should be used for torture not fun. Non of all of us had fun .

We chose a hour of two experiences. I took the grandsons and they were so excited. They were not disappointed. We chose the space walk and garden. We all agreed that the space walk was the best. We also chose the Astro experience at the end because it was like a video game of shooting at asteroids. We waited in the lounge that was fun. One of the hosts helped us to get ready for the experience. I was too busy enjoying myself that I didn鈥檛 get any video of them while inside the experience. Spoilers. I would definitely recommend going.

Overall a good experience and more likely than not to go again. However, I was not happy with their child policy. Yes, their website says this is for age 7+; however, their FAQ says the following: "Unfortunately, our headsets only size-down so much, and they typically don鈥檛 fit children younger than 7. If you happen to be near a Verse location, feel free to stop in and see if it will fit your child!" This clearly implies that the primary reason for the age cutoff is the child's size and being able to wear the headset properly. My nearly 7 year old daughter is above average in height so I was quite confident that she would be able to wear the headset. We planned this out in advance and wanted to do the Star Walk and the Unreal Garden. Upon arriving, the host initially made an issue about her still being six. When I referred to the FAQ and said that my understanding was that the concern was the headset not being able to fit, the host started saying things about her not being capable of doing it based on needing to be able to read or needing an understanding of astronomy to be able to answer the questions during the experience, etc. It was insulting and I pushed back. To his credit, the host allowed her to do it, and we had a great time. If they don't want younger children to do this, just be up front about it and have it be adult only or even 13+. Don't give a bunch of BS of why they aren't capable. How do you know she can't read? How do you know she's not a budding astronomer? MORAL: Have your child lie about their age if they are close to 7 and avoid the condescending lecture.

This was fantastic. We went for our mother-son monthly outing (65 & 40 yo). We had a blast. I bought a pass for 2 VIP through Groupon and it was worth every penny (it was a good deal). We did only 2 of the 4 phases, enjoyed it and had lots of fun for 2 hours. With the VIP you get to go in and out so we went for a bite to eat to Atwood, right across the street. By the time we came back we were told we had to wait and since there was only one more hour to closing time we had the choice of having a free renter for the next 2 phases on a different day of our choice. We are looking forward to our next mom-son鈥檚 date. PS: this is the best I could do - pictures through goggles
